My DEX is 120 right now, I have a Zhelm and pendant on which gives a DEX boost so I can wear the red craven. I'm wearing LUK equips such as a bathrobe and earrings. I raise LUK every time I level up. Should I be wearing DEX equips instead and use AP resets to convert the DEX to LUK? Am I doing something wrong? How much should my DEX be as an almost 120 NL?
You don't need any more than 140 dex in total. What is your base dex? If it's 120 then you should definitely remove at least 70 dex with APRs. There's a very good NL guide in the forum which you should read.
thanks for answering! after I remove the 70 dex, how can I wear the red craven? do I buy a bathrobe with tons of DEX? what equips would have DEX?
You should be using a thief top and bottom (usually something like studded top or red pirate top, and red pirate pants) which will give a good amount of dex. Zhelm, HTP, belt (dojo for a white belt at least), rings will all have dex. For 750 anniversary coins you can get 2 allstat 5 slot earrings which will help a bit, or try and buy an element pierce or run EPQ for that earring.

Zhelm, HTP, rings and such will contribute to help wear them. You might still need some base dex but definitely not 120 base. If you get the lower level top, it can then contribute dex to help you wear the bottom (or you can set up a circular dex dependency with your top and bottom combined but that's kind of annoying and I won't go into details on it here, but it is a thing if you want to really be sweaty)

You will have 50 base. 31-33 zhelm. 23? Htp. 25 from top and bottom. That's roughly 130 and cheap to achieve with a few hundred mills (not taking into account 740m in APRs). The other 10 DEX you're missing could come from anywhere, easiest would be shoes/earrings/belt I guess. The idea is that you remove more dex as you improve your items, until 4 base dex. If you don't want to invest time searching the fm and optimizing the dex just continue to play with a higher base dex for now. With your 120 base and what I'm assuming is low funds, you definitely could get a cheap bathrobe with dex and just work on the APRs for now. Don't forget to hp quest every day because that's a must as an unwashed NL.
I dont have low funds... It's just I can't wear the pirate top and bottom for now unless I keep my dex as is.. I'll look into the HP quests. Thx. I appreciate the help
UPDATE: okay - my bad, i was being stupid. i CAN wear the red pirate top and pants. thank you for your help! will look tomorrow for ones with good DEX
eventually you want to get to 25 base dex (which is the minimum possible). slowly as your gear improve you gonna find out you can reset more dex into luk.
