jkjk, but yeah as i said everything is maxed (not hw10 tho), just wondering if there is drawbacks to the aura heal!
Sometimes it'll heal you when you get dispelled out of zerk or as you hit the manual pot which will require more micro adjustments to stay below 15k. I like having a few levels in it for Bigfoot or Von Leon, but it can help as much as it can hurt. Leveling it is personal preference but I probably won't max it.
Does beholder’s 20% mastery show up in damage range ( eg minimum range goes up as you leave up the skill)? Im seeing my drk having maxed spear mastery and beholder but the range is like 2.1k~4.8k, where min range which is less than 50% of max. Even my regular 60% mastery character’s range isn’t that far apart. the actual damage hit by the character doesn’t have a large gap (6k-8k) so wondering if there’s anything wrong with drk’S damage range.
Yes it should since it's a passive. The min/max range ratio is a bit wider for DRK in comparison to other jobs so that's nothing out of the ordinary, can be easily seen in the range thread for example -> https://royals.ms/forum/threads/mapleroyals-new-official-damage-range-thread.177089/
thanks. Just thought it’s weird drk having 80% mastery has such high gap whereas BM/mm’s range is much closer. Probably weapon modifiers or something .
Gotta be stab/slash damage, even though you'll only ever do one of them because skills, it'll still tell you a different range on your sheet
You're right! Ive always wondered why it didn't make sense! The top of the range uses the 5x multiplier, the min is using the 3x multiplier x 0.9*0.8. using Puke as an example w/ rough math max: 15,000 min: 15,000/5*3= 9000 9000*0.9*0.8 = 6480 actual min: 6593 Variance because the dex portion of the range should not be hit with mastery reduction.
Hi all, unfunded new DK here, I am finding mixed opinions on Crusher: Spear vs Fury: Polearm. I am having a hard time deciding. I have mostly mobbed 51-70 and probably will continue mobbing while trying to OPQ/PPQ. Question : Should I start out with Fury: Polearm or should I invest in Crusher: Spear asap? Does Crusher eventually gain an edge on Fury for mobbing? I have maxed all polearm 2nd job skills already. Thanks!
Yea, I find fury polearm better early on, and then crusher spear later in your journey. I do not think crusher is a replacement for fury, fury has further range and hits 6. So for mobbing, I still prioritize fury polearm. Having 2 strong weapons are really expensive though, so a common consensus is to get a good spear and purely use crusher. Hope this helps.
An important question to ask yourself here is: when mobbing, are you consistently going to be hitting 5-6 mobs? As soon as you start hitting less than 5 mobs, spear crusher beats polearm fury. I personally very much doubt you'll be hitting that many so frequently, especially without rush. Math: Spear and polearm both have the same str coefficient (when using the appropriate attack), so the only differences are: attack of the weapon, attack speed, and skill DMG. We can assume no si/SE, but those would give spears even more of an advantage. Weapon attack will likely not be a huge difference, but polearms tend to be cheaper so you could maybe give a slight extra advantage to them if you wanted. Crusher has a potency of 170% x3 lines x3 mobs = 1530%/attack 6 part fury has a potency of 250% x6 mobs = 1500%/attack 5 part fury is 1250%/attack 4 part is 1000%/attack Attack speed: https://ayumilovemaple.wordpress.com/2009/09/06/maplestory-attack-speed-reference/ Crusher with sky ski will take 930 ms = 1645%/second Fury with purple surfboard will take 660 ms - 6 part: 2,272%/second - 5 part: 1,894% - 4 part: 1,515%
So far I've been training at FoG and MP3. I've been pulling the whole platform then whacking groups of 10-12 mobs. I'm not sure how training spots at 70+ looks like. Never really played past 2nd job. I think I'll go Crusher: Spear given it will cost less money (no sp reset to buy, no extra wep. Unless the time/xp efficiency of having the ability to kill 3 extra mob is worth it? Thanks for the replies!
I've to remind you that you don't have to use sp reset to complete both spear crusher and pole arm fury. Also, Purple Surfboard (PSB) is way cheaper than Maple spear, Pyrope spear, and Sky Ski... etc. The advantage of weapon speed has already been mentioned by Sylafia. Even though I'm lvl 200 DrK I still use PSB to farm RG bonus. It's just like Polearm version Stonetooth and extremely cheap. I can share some training and use cases of PA Fury. You can train faster when you do PA Fury first, when you choose training early at MP3, and FoG. Or, you can do Spear Crusher first to train at the Wolf Spider. (When skill lvl above 21 or 26 of course) You want max PA fury before training at Himes, which is a god training spot as you're DrK. Alternatively, you want to train at Ulu 2. Those maps are all flat and crowded, so you don't worry hit less than 3 mob When you near 4th job you want to do Ellin pre-quest (which gives you tons of exp). PSB still excels on most of the map. ToT too, it's bring you to lvl 140+ if you don't want to buy leech and solo training. PA/Spear mixed with PSB definitely worth it!
