Why does Avenger do less dmg in a line over Triple Throw?

    So Avenger says 180% and TT says 150% but TT still does significantly higher dmg per line. Why?

    On another note Avenger is so trash, can we please get a slight dmg buff holy shit

    TT has a special damage formula that calculates differently.

    Avenger multiplies luk by 3.6, adds STR/dex, and then multiplies by 180%

    TT multiplies luk by 5, ignores STR/dex, and then multiplies by 150%

    So that means the added dmg range i get from str & dex doesnt add anything to TT dmg?

    Actually range must be an entirely separate part of the equation, how does it work?

    To add, TT and L7 has it own mastery so its unaffected by claw mastery. Its slightly worst than avenger since the secondary stats arnt included.
    (77 vs 75% average)

    tbh i think NL's range should be changed to better reflect their damage.
    STR and DEX does nothing to NL's damage but they contribute to range.

    would also solve the myth the MoN is better than HTP for nightlords (not aufed ones)

    At the end game the extra dex from HTP is no longer needed. I’m currently dexless using a dps with a 8atk mon and I use a zhelm. I also don’t use items that are scrolled for dex instead of luk so I’m not sacrificing luck anywhere at this point either. Although it does take quite a bit, it doesn’t take an auf helm to achieve 150 dex with equips

    Try to read what I sent again, The thing is not only the extra dex, its the scaling of Luk on non-aufed NLs.
    Also, this doesn't apply to ALL people, but it applies for most of them.
    Most non-aufed NLs struggle with Dex and for sure sacrifise a lot of Luk to wear their red craven.
    You need to have really good untradeables to have decent Dex as a bi-product when what you were aiming for is Luk.

    Yea I understand it doesnt apply for most NL's just pointing out that it doesnt take an auf helm for Mon to be better. Even with a perfect scrolled HTP with +5 on each of the 2 chaos scrolls that would be 38 luk, I dont think 38 luk > 8 wpn atk + 7-11luk

    I did the math for fun after reading the post you linked & I assumed every single point of extra dex I get from HTP gets converted to LUK in equips.. not sure if that's entirely realistic, but yeah. Did not account for any CSing on the HTP.
    193 w/a & 1191 LUK vs 185 w/a & 1225 LUK as stats (not 200)
    As the original poster demonstrated, with stoppers perfect MON is slightly better (61,108 max dmg vs 60,865)
    With apples (the important one), a perfect MON was slightly worse.. (70,769 max dmg vs 70,802)
    But its surprising how small the difference is.... just wear whichever is closer to perfect or whichever one you loot more often I guess. It's wild how comparable they are lol

    At the high ceiling, even without an auf helm the extra dex from HT pendant will become obsolete making Mon much better than HT pendant. To get a 8atk Mon or a 28 Luk HT Pendant the average is 1 in 360 loots, but the difference is that a HT run drops an avg of 3 pendants opposed to 5 Mons and a HT run is almost twice as long as a CWK run. This means a 28 luk HT Pendant is at least 3x harder to get than a 8atk Mon and on top of that it eventually becomes weaker than Mon.

    Unless someone is getting free HT Pendant loots, going for a Pendant over Mon isn't even close to worth it

    MoN is 2 stat compared to 1 stat HTP though.
    8 att 4 luk mon is kinda bad compared to a decent htp.
    Also most people use dex earrings to get to their hp goal which is really not efficient sicne ifia earring give ton of luk for low meso.
    Getting to 140 dex with no HTP and no earrings would mean for most people to spend like 5b on high dex googles and work really hard on their untradeables.
    In my opinion its better to go for a slighly above avrage htp than invest your effort and meso into cgs intead of 12 dex googles etc.
    But i guess its a personal thing.
    Also another thing to keep in mind, every time you get a MoN, you dont get anything if its bad.
    Every time you loot HTP, even if its bad you are still part of the HT splits.

    I should have made my last statement more clear, but in that context what I am actually saying is "going for 28luk Pendant over 8atk Mon isn't even close to worth it". Theres no question that around the averages or slightly above that a Pendant is head and shoulders above a Mon as you have pointed out

    And yea as I mentioned if you're getting free HT Pendants whether through friends or being an attacker on a run, then why not? But then again if you're getting HT splits you're probably only getting 1 pendant in which with that same amount of time you could have looted 10 mons through 2 cwk runs. Is the avg HT split more valuable than looting 9 more mons? debatable. And Assuming the dex is useful a 8atk 4luk mon isnt relatively any worse than a 28 luk 21 dex pendant.

    In any case as you mentioned its alot to make sure a 8atk Mon is stronger and until a certain point a Pendant is the stronger option, theres no disagreement there. All im saying is if your goal is to go for a either a 28 luk HTP or 8atk Mon then its better to go with 8 Mon because its 1 in 360 loots with HT pendant being 3x harder. A 8atk Mon is already a massive grind, idk about anyone else but I sure as hell wouldnt grind 3x more for a 28 HT pendant which i'll eventually replace with a Mon, even if thats years from now

    This is wrong, it's incredibly rare to split HTPs when relooting as only one egg drops anyways. You'd be getting all 2-5 usually
