I believe that there should be an age limit set if a person wishes to play an online game in general and MapleStory is definitely a highlighted one. If anybody cannot take the heat of interaction that might occasionally even involve something vulgar with words, then minors should be advised to not play an online game if they cannot handle some moral heated toxicity that might be tossed at them at times. If a sensitive individual wants to risk coming into the online world with the pre-existing possibilities of having their minds polluted with filth even if they weren't at all attempting to look for it in the first place and becomes hatefully uncomfortable with what they see or in whichever situation they are stuck with so-called strangers that don't sound sweet then they should consider sticking to an offline game to prevent themselves from being verbally abused by others in the first place. Of course, I know it's a choice that people make and they have the liberty and freedom of being in an online community if they insist on not restricting themselves with its benefits and pleasures of being alive with another living breathing person virtually. Although if they actually want to be around good people, then they should also expect to encounter the bad ones too who may sometimes sound rude or hateful towards them. I believe that blame shouldn't exclusively be on those who weren't behaving "beautifully" before them, but it should also be on themselves too. Don't come crying and complaining about what somebody said to you online that you didn't at all felt good about and failed to ignore some offensive haters who might appear during your playtime. If you're a minor-minded person, then you should stay away from being online until you seriously mature mentally and that means you are able to tolerate verbal nuisances that your eyes might happen to read and not get offended by it anymore.
I occasionally come across toxic players but it's thankfully not too common here (and half the time it happens it's the same ban evading dude, won't mention names but you know ). A swear here and there happens, but being toxic is a different thing altogether. Just because online games have toxicity does not mean we should normalize it here and blame people for being too sensitive.
tl;dr - dont play a game if you can't accept being sexually harassed with a smile. did i get it right? nobody walks into maplestory and thinks "hmm, i wonder who will tell me to kill myself today". it's a nostalgic game from decades ago we all (most of us anyways) played as kids. we are playing this game to relax, chill, play with our friends and have fun. If you were talkin about league of legends, cs2, valorant, dota 2 or other games where the community is commonly toxic - sure, i'd understand. victim blaming is just sad, and claiming others are not mentally mature enough because of filths like you.. yikes. i can't really express what i truly think, I don't want to get any WP, but you get the gist of it. i'm really not surprised this thread was created by you, a poor excuse of a man.
I come from Dota 2 from time to time I meet people who if you do what is in your power it does not go as expected and if they are so bad that your effort is useless you lose and you get frustrated knowing that you could not do anything, and since then I do not play cooperative with anyone, I have even been playing for years but with bots that even end up being smarter than real players, but anyway I come here because everything I do is for me and nothing else! In short, I am the master of my destiny, of my defeat or victory, if I scroll in something and it goes well or badly it is decisive but as I say it is for me! So do not be mortified wherever you are you will find people of all types, good, bad, normal, etc.

Or perhaps those who cannot control themselves could just play offline games...? And that way, the vast majority of players who treat others with respect can just continue to enjoy our game, without nuisance behaviour? What has prompted you to make this thread today?
