Hi there, this is my first time playing MapleRoyals.
I’m from Taiwan, and recently many private servers here have been taken down by the official publisher. I was hoping to find a long-term and stable server where I can continue my adventure without having to start over again every time.

I originally posted my issue in the Technical Help section,
but user DaveDeviluke kindly suggested that I might get a better answer here in the Ban Appeal section.

My issue is that I can log in successfully and create a character,
but the moment I try to enter the game, an error message pops up and the client closes immediately.
I’ve already followed the troubleshooting guide: I reinstalled the game, rebooted my modem, updated my drivers, and confirmed that I don’t have any VPNs installed.

I’m using a Windows system, and I live alone in a rented room in a new city, so the internet connection and device are used only by me.
This computer was purchased second-hand, and I’m not sure if that’s relevant — maybe the previous owner’s setup or history could be affecting my ability to log in.

I read that some login issues might be related to MAC bans,
so I’m wondering if that could be the case here.
If the previous owner ever used third-party tools or hacks, maybe that’s what’s causing this issue?

I’ve never been banned before, and this is truly my first time playing on MapleRoyals.
I just want to understand the situation clearly and check if there’s anything I can do to fix it.

As I mentioned earlier, the computer I’m using was purchased second-hand,

I bought this computer in early June 2025, right after I received my first paycheck.
It was purchased from a local second-hand computer shop in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
Everything has been working fine since then, and I’ve only started playing MapleRoyals recently.

The reason I bought this computer was because I originally wanted to play Artale, but after seeing how the official team didn’t handle things properly, I decided to leave and join a normal private server instead.
Later on, because many Taiwanese servers were getting shut down by the official publisher, I came across MapleRoyals.
At first, I honestly struggled with the English interface and almost gave up, but after realizing that this server has a long history and stable service, I decided to give it a try — and that’s when I encountered the issue I’m facing now.

When Dave told me I could post my issue here, I clicked that link while preparing to create my post.
At first, I didn’t really know what the “Ban Appeal” section was, but after reading that thread,
I realized my symptoms were similar to what people described as a possible MAC ban,
so that’s why I decided to post here.
