    Hi everyone,

    There will be a server check on Wednesday 6th November 2013 lasting approximately [STRIKE="No"]6 hours[/STRIKE] 18 hours.

    It will start at:
    15:00 GMT (Server Time)
    And will end at:
    [STRIKE="No"]21:00[/STRIKE] 09:00 GMT (Server Time)

    The website will be down for part of this server check. The times are an estimate and we cannot guarantee the server will be up on time. You will be able to get the latest updates via the MapleRoyals Facebook Page.

    Reason for Server Check:
    • Server migration to Los Angeles.
    • Jr. Newties map spawn improved.
    • Zakum/Horntail drops fixed.
    • Multipets quest added.
    • Pet evolution quest added.
    • Duration of ciders fixed.
    • Ban system and GM command improvements.
    • SMEGAs can now be toggled using ~togglesmegas

    There may be some other changes. if so, I will update this message.

    If I may ask, what will be the effects of moving to Los Angeles for the server? Will this decrease costs? Improve any lag issues? More space?

    Not sure about costs yet but should be a very similar specification to our current server so a similar cost. Latency may improve slightly as the server will be closer to the SolveDDoS server. This move should hopefully stop the random packet loss issues we have been experiencing recently and randomly over the last few months.

    (Potentially) less lagspiking, a way for ranged chars to train 90+, Ciders lasting as long as they should, and Zakum being fixed... all in one day? Blimey... no words. The six hours is worth the wait.

    I'm really sorry that you're unhappy about this feature, but I hope that most people will only feel the need to use it very occasionally (eg during boss run/jq/when someone's publicly making a spamtastic asshole of themselves) and will turn smegas on again afterwards so they don't miss out on buying/selling/looking for/joining/level up/gratz -type smegas and general banter! Well, that's how I intend to use them, anyway! =)

    So the pet evolution quest was added, but purchase of evolving pets (dragon/robo) is still disabled. Is there some other way to get a baby one, or are they still being worked on?
