Coming back I realized so many updates have occurred that I’m lost, so I have a few questions. 1) How is HP washing not a problem anymore? 2) What is the current bossing meta (funded and unfunded) used to be NL 3) If you had a duo partner and the goal was to kill every boss in the game, which would you pick? Free form no contingency.
1. you still need to gain more hp, but now you can quest intead of wash. 2. shad / bucc 3. The main meta now is to duo attack both of them nowdays
1.- Hp washing is still a thing, but nowdays theres several new options to get ez HP. 2.-Shad for funded, theres no such thing as unfunded bossing meta, at that point you can just play w/e(excpet for AMs) you want, as long as you have mules.( But NL is still there tho) 3.-Shad/Shad... better if duo att with 2 buccs each

It’s not really a simple yes/no. The HP quest will eventually be limited to once per day (~35 HP/day). For Corsair / Archer / Thief, you’ll hit that cap and end up doing the daily for months. Even at lvl 200 on those classes, with all HP quests done and HP gear, you’re usually around 13–14.5k HP. VL needs ~17.8k, so quests alone won’t get you there. They help, but traditional washing still saves a lot of time. That said, you should really ask yourself why you need the HP right now. Most new players aren’t running VL in their first few months, and dumping all your early funds into washing just turns the game into a miserable experience. I went the quest route on my Corsair from 2017 and wouldn’t want to do this again on future chars. TLDR: New players don’t need to wash — it’s a miserable experience early on. Do it later on your 2nd or 3rd char once you actually have money.
so I have 1B and a bishop I can use for farming/int equips. Does that change the discussion? my goal is for my friend and I to just duo every boss. We are thinking Shad/Bucc or NL/BM. So we will def have to wash.
If you go Bucc, 1b is enough for a light wash, but only if you’re disciplined with early INT gear and HP quests. Having ~2b makes it much smoother and faster, which is doable with a Bishop. Shad, NL, and BM are far more expensive. 6–10b+ before INT equips and leeching. 1b barely helps for these classes. Also, your friend has to commit too. Duo bossing doesn’t work if one of you meets HP checks and the other gets one-shot.
