So I've been collecting INT equips in order to be able to HP wash more effectively and now I have what I believe is a sufficient amount to be able to move onto the next stage which is picking a main. The ones I am interested in are BM, Buc and Corsair if anyone has any experience with them. Atm I am an I/L mage and even though I enjoy it they are not good for bossing and never gonna get picked to do things. If anyone has any advice on other classes as well I am open to suggestions. I am unfunded but I'm in the process of making a Bishop as well. I just want something that I can say this is my main and know what I'm working towards. What I enjoy is something good at mobbing and bossing or has buffs that are wanted in bossing and doesn't cost an extortionate amount in funds before you can enjoy it. This is the INT gear I have so far so if anyone has any advice on needing more gear and if so what I'd be happy to hear as well.
Bucc will be cheapest to wash from your 3 options and also will be more Versatile for all type of content recommned on Bucc
Everyone recommends to play Bucc, Shadower or Night Lord. Be different. Out of your 3 options, play something that isnt as popular but will still have a use at bossing. Go Bowmaster or Corsair
you right but Bowmaster/Crossair both are not cheap to wash as first attacker to someone who is not funded i would suggest first bucc from those 3 option 1. cheaper 2.Versatile - can do all type of content and join any type of party (melee , range ) 3.Natural very Strong class (no need high CGS to get into Bosses) 4.Very Fun class all around and many skills
I've played most classes. I WOULD NOT recommend Corsair as first attacker you will make the game 2x harder than it needs to be (Unless you enjoy that typa stuff). Bowmaster is a great side character to have (Many people make SE mules with their nightlords.) People do main BM but i think there are better/stronger options. Your end game content will consist of mostly nightlord parties, and melee parties are more OP in most bosses and in LHC. Bucc is probably my favorite pick for first attacker, excepted/needed in almost every boss run, less HP wash. Extremely needed in Horntail and Von Leon. Only Con I can think of is everybody is running a bucc now a days. I know its not your preferred, but consider giving warrior a chance my favorite class
What warrior would you suggest out of them. I tried Drk and Paladin only on modern maple. After looking through some of the guides and suggestions here I am leaning towards Bucc as the easiest to wash and learn.
Modern maple is very different. Paladin is probably what I'd recommend for first warrior, which here is mostly just memorizing (or looking up) what element to use against what boss and then just holding blast with the occasional cr cast. It's pretty simple, deals decent damage until high gear, and popular for crash party buff. It was my first attacker! I don't have a bucc so I can't really help compare them for you
Bucc is a great choice. Great balance and strong even with low funding However All warrior classes are great. Pally is by far my favorite warrior and class in general. It was a slept on class for ages. Insanely good coverage. Heavens hammer rules in Rose garden and most mobbing places. The elemental aspect is really cool and allows very exceptional DPS at most bosses. Easier than Bucc to wash to 30k hp. CON's they are low DPS at Zak arms due to different elemental weakness, though handy support class there. Not great at CWKPQ / Von Leon. Crazy idea you could make a pally and bucc at the same time and use SI to boost your pally dps
After reading through all the suggestions, looking at all the class guides and weighing everything up I think I'm going to go Pally surprisingly and maybe change in the future when I become more funded. I appreciate all the help from everyone and their opinions.
I played buccaneer as my first character and can recommend it. It's easy to fund and find parties due to the speed infusion buff.
I have a question maybe someone here can answer. Should I go 1h BW or 2H SW. I've looked around and found nothing concrete but I need to decide by 3rd job
Dark knights are pretty fun too. You get perma HB so you have to hp wash less than other classes. I had 13k base hp before i even washed once. Took me less than 100 ap resets to hit 30k with hb. I made one a few months ago and have thoroughly enjoyed the class
I've corsair, shadower and nl as attacker classes and I can suggest you NOT to start with corsair. A couple of reasons: - Unplayable without wash / expensive wash - Scarce market, finding guns and dex items for this class can take really long - Doesn't get accepted in parties as easily for the lack of party buffs/ more viable attacker options - Corsair Ship dies fast and you depend on it for dps - Whacking/not shooting if enemies are somewhat close makes this class unbearable at times - The illusion of mobility because of reverse/weird cool-downed version of fj and whatever ''dash'' is. If you like BM, go for it. Between buc, se and corsair I absolutely recommend BM: A few reasons to go for BM: - Cheap and vast amounts of equipment available in fm - Highly requested in parties because of se - Needs wash but even without wash can still be used as mule(wash always recommended) - Balanced dps and utility, money efficient, easy to play overall - Has fast walking speed because of bows Disclaimer: This reply is not to criticise and favor classes, it is to point out what is easier/more convenient and less time/meso-consuming.
2h sword is a couple percent higher DMG. Skull is a bit lower and really ties you to needing SI, but lets you use guardian which is a 25% chance to be immune to an attack (which means less getting knocked back and can even save your life occasionally). So it's a tradeoff on what you want
