I could post this in the Latest Failures thread, but this isn't just my latest failures. This is my lifetime failures and they are juicy! While not fully documented, I tend to hang onto negative occurrences and would like to think my memory is pretty decent. Enjoy! As with all threads of this nature it began with a recent crash out of some failed Chaos Scrolls that had me thinking: Just how far down this rabbit hole have I stumbled without realizing it...? I would like to also preface this by saying I do not currently mage farm and besides selling leech to fund my first attacker I have not excessively farmed mesos. I generally do your normal content grind to make money along with voting so these numbers aren't even nearly as bad as some of you out there! Feel free to share your failures so I can feel better about my own. What's left: Above is what's currently in my inventory. The counted slots expended are 19 and not a single one of these items went positive and are probably not going to sell for much recoupment. That's 7 Face Stompers and 6 Blackfist Cloaks on record. I vividly remember hitting a Red Sock last year that went to zero. I have also to this date attempted three Chaos Scrolls on the nose (Spoilers: none were worth keeping) along with clicking a Chaos Scroll onto a Krex Ring that also failed. Last year I also attempted a Snow Fur Lump that went + + then -4 to end up at 4\6 in my inventory forever. Oh and I went halfsies on two stompers that both failed too. So counting just what I remember that brings me to: 27 Fails\negatives 8 in items Total lost: 21 To this date I have hit one +5 on a clean FS so that was 1B turned in to 5.5b profit for one win. TL; DR: Don't gamble kids. Other fun stats: - Broke my dry streak of Horntail without a MW20 on the 44th run recently! How many times have I heard: "At least we got Gen!" Shout out Bloomies! <3 - 0% success rate on 30% attack on BWG's with lifetime attempts of 0 out of 11! (I wish I was making this up) - 3 Green lines out of 1.3m NX (only time I have ever saved and will ever save NX again) Shoutout to the gach group you know who you are LMAO. - At 200 I gached 5k totems and only hit 3 green lines on my Bucc! Never saving again! - Contributed 4.5B to the Chair Gacha statistics with not a single jackpot for 2025! Please find my chair selling thread. - 3-4 months of consistently running VL twice weekly with Akatsuki and I only hit one VL boot lifetime (It wasn't even average I promise )! This didn't happen all at once - small gambles here and there which is important to note! This was more of a big picture moment to really break down the actual estimated total of my losses. I think it's very easy to fall into the trap of gambling once or twice here and there, but ultimately, (as you can see) it's not profitable long term or rarely pans out in your favor. Obviously, this doesn't apply to everyone and some people are just more lucky then others! Gamble at your own risk! As for successes I have had my fair share or I wouldn't still be playing ! I have scrolled a two 105 King Cents, a couple of 128 Blood Daggers, a 129 Stone Tooth, and I think two Sky Ski's that went above 119! My luck with MoN's has been extremely good as well. I hit my 8 attack on the first run with my Night Lord, second run with my Bucc, and around the 7th or 8th run with my Hero. I've been fortunate enough to pass both MW20 books that I attempted on the first try. The year before I did score a Maneki Neko chair in the Chair Gacha event. During Winter Dash last year I received three white scroll/chaos scrolls along with 2 Naircain Jewels. Overall my luck with LHC Gach and regular gach is probably about average, but it never feels that way of course. So yeah - the luck comes and goes! Even just yesterday I used a 1% CSS and ironically passed it on one of the BFC's in my inventory. The purpose of the post was just to share some of the funny stats that I keep track of and nothing more! I enjoy playing the game with this community and that's really the biggest win of all.
Unfortunately... I definitely wasn't hitting Horntail as consistently since it wasn't dropping for me, but luckily it finally lifted recently!
sorry to hear friend, those are rough numbers. when this game rng's you bad, it really screws you bad..... hang in there, hoping your luck will turn around soon! PS maybe invest in some IRL lucky socks - they help me!
