There are certain items in Gacha that are Untradeable. Particularly the Singapore Flags. I think these should be tradeable or removed.. or at the very least, have their stat requirements removed. I hate when i get a bunch of Elixers when I gacha.. but at least as a mage, i can use those. The Singapore Flags get tossed and its a shame when you actually get one worth keeping.. but oh wait.. ill never be able to use it! lol
Gacha is not supposed to be a place where you can hit the jackpot and get good items. Gacha is supposed to be luck of the draw. Sometimes you get lucky and get something good. More often than not, you don't get anything good. It's like the lottery
That's why I said it's like the lottery. It is analogous to the lottery in that the concept is the same but you don't pick numbers for Gachapon.
I know what gachapon is and what's its used for.. Elixers aren't jackpot but at least I can use them. There isn't much point in putting in untradeable items that are pretty much class specific.
There are a lot of items which are untradable. Another example could be the Maple Leaf face accessories. If you get one which isn't suitable for your class then I assume you would just chuck them. Same goes for some scrolls like 10% helmet def for example, most people would just drop them. As John said, you are not supposed to get everything you need each time you use gachapon. There needs to be a balance of good/useless items. I also don't think that anyone has been talking to you as if you are stupid. John was meaning that you don't hit the jackpot every single time. Most of the time you get nothing good, sometimes you get decent stuff, and rarely you will hit the jackpot.
Well, my issue with the untradable items is that some of them are to be used before level 50, but with the gacha level limit set to 50, these useful items are now useless. I wouldn't have a problem with them being untradable if there was any way to acquire them before level 50.
A lot of items in gachapon are pretty useless but some people use some of for looks/showing off/collecting and stuff like that too...
I believe that's why they want items like the flags to be tradeable. They aren't really useful or anything but how can you use for looks or show off what you can't equip/trade? Although I think this is a rather trivial thing. Maybe to appease the masses substitute another useless but kind of cool item like the bamboo spear that all classes can equip.
I think we have different definitions of "useless junk". A scroll for helm defense seems useless.. But at least it can actually be used. Nothing in gachapon should be 100% useless and should at least have the ability to be traded unless it somehow gives an unfair advantage, which isn't the case here. Is it too much to take off the stat requirements of equips that are nearly aesthetic only? I mean cmon, the Singapore flags have a lower than average damage for the required level. Much like the Halloween basket except its tradeable
shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh also, as many have stated before, gach is similar to a lottery system. I don't understand why people are raging because they get singapore flags, just gach somewhere else... gg
It does get frustrating, though, when a lot of the gacha items you DO need are specifically from Singapore. Personally, I'd love it if the Singapore Flags were tradeable - I'd rather have them as cool pose-objects on some of my mules than have to throw them away.
I am responding to this while being high/drunk on redbull shots cos I was scrolling through forums after werk. (and feeling the maple withdrawal syndrome very acutely) This might be a little incoherent cos I think I'm rambling http://www.squidoo.com/capsuletoys --> Gachapon , a.k.a a machine where you put spare change in for toys in little capsules. (sorta like a gumball machine but with capsules instead) IDK I got bored and was googling Gachapon. Ho Lee Fak. When I was a little kid I used to do this ALL THE TIME (cos these cute machines were at every suburban minimart -kinda like a local mini supermarket but without air conditioning) to get random pokemon keychain figurines and little gundam miniatures and imitation tamaguichis but I had no clue that what I did was called gachapon LOLOL I remember spending like $5 worth of 50 cent coins just to get that adorable Evee pokemon keychain I saw once (and eventually trading my spare Charizard for it with a friend) Since all those cute toys were tradable- I'd say let the Singaporean flag be tradable.. if you want to stay true to what gachapon is in actuality. :> Also spread the Singaporean lurve lah <3. I get this cheap thrill when I see people equipping my country's flag and using it loh. The feeling velly shiok
since we are on the subject of useless items, can we please remove Taos/Lionheads/etc from gachapon. They serve no purpose and just leave your slots filled.
There seems to be quite a few people who believe this is a good idea. Singapore flags were a good example but let's just take untradeables out of gacha or make them tradeable! Or wz edit in scissors of karma!
It sure does suck when you get a mouse kit on a class that doesn't need it.. Especially since its so uncommon. Or a +8 luck maple leaf on a warrior...
For the singapore flags, they are one-of-a-king items. As if you get one, if you keep gachaing and you get another one, your gach ticket goes away but you DO NOT get another flag because it is one of a kind, I've notice this many times and that is an issue because when you gach you are guaranteed to get SOMETHING even if its crap, but now when you have a singapore flag and you get another of the same kind(spear or dagger, etc you know what I mean) it takes your ticket and you get nothing in return. This is my only concern with the gach system atm.
