A few days ago I was talking with my friends while grinding, and we all agreed that only oldies would be playing MapleRoyals, as it is a server intended on reliving the nostalgia of the pre big bang era of MapleStory. But we have seen so many players saying 6 7 and other recent terms, and we all agreed once again that oldies wouldnt be saying that. As asking age might be a sensitive information I would like to start a poll to know the truth.

I'd imagine most are using these terms ironically... BUT we don't necessarily become impervious to being influenced by brainrot memes and trends just because we're all old and decrepit now. You can be a looksmaxxing jestergooner even though you're pushing 30 and are addicted to playing an ancient mushroom game!!

Hello and greetings! I played MapleStory when there weren't any pirates or thieves. I remember the continent of Ossyria didn't exist, and every update added some GM events and hidden maps to Victoria Island. That's why the map ended up being so huge, and many places are still not fully explored. Here in Royals, there are many of those places, and they're great for grinding. Plus, with the incredibly slow internet, patching was torture. Imagine waiting 3 to 5 hours to load at 100 to 200 Mbps! Ahh, so many memories.
I did not know thieves were added! I too was there before pirates, but Ossyria existed. I vaguely remember, but KFT was one of the maps I remember they added to the game back then. And yeah 100kb/s was sooo slow, downloads getting often interrupted.
I started playing og maple at an age that was older than the average players that play royals today. 3 generations got involved at some point or other and I would probably be the oldest player on Royals, but would love to have someone prove me wrong
I believe old school maplers are mostly above 29 years old + Whatever your age is, it is lovely to see you playing MapleRoyals. The oldest guidie I know is 36 years old I believe.
I played Maplestory Europe from January 7th, 2008. I was already "old" back then. I'll be 60 this year, really!
Poll ended and the results are a whooping 93% old school maplers vs 7% recent players. BUT, it is also important to know that young'uns dont usually surf the forums... and total votes were just 44 people so it is a small sample. Thank you all that voted/commented.
