IGN: Kamuna Problem: Lost pet name after discovering pet was tradeable Details: Bug report: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/retriever-pet-is-tradeable.255358/ Pally (EmilyBONK) didn't have multiple pets and I was about to start LHC bearwolves on it for the first time I wasn't sure if pets were supposed to be tradeable or not, so I tried trading - and discovered that: I was able to trade the pet Retriever from shad (Kamuna) to pally (EmilyBONK) - but in the process it lost its name "Incentv" (rip i miss Vinny) After some discussion with others I assume pets are normally not supposed to be tradeable I didn't use my pet Retriever because I didn't have multi-pet quest anyways After LHC I traded it back to my shad, so everything is back where they originally belong, just without pet name Could I have the pet name fixed back to Incentv? Thank you! (I would name it Gert but my Retriever is too tall to be a short king )
Thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately, as the trading of pets is not intended behaviour, we are unable to provide a restoration or refund for the lost pet name. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and the issue has been noted accordingly.
I understand your goal here is to triage issues to reduce open tickets that other staff have to address, and the value involved here is only 2,100 NX (under like 10m meso at current meso-NX rates) and negligible in the long term. However, closing this as "unable to provide a restoration or refund" due to "not intended behavior" doesn't sound right, so I am replying on principle. Character issues that stem from things like event bugs, bugged NX, and so on are all because of the game not following "intended behavior" - in this case, the intended game behavior should've been "pet tradeable:no" but because it is bugged and was tradeable, the name tag was lost as a result. This character issue ticket is no different than other character issues that have received staff fixes. Please reconsider.
To clarify, my goal is not to triage issues simply to reduce open tickets. My role is to forward issues that warrant further action or fixes by the Admins to them where appropriate. Prior to replying to this request, I checked with the Staff team to review the situation. Based on that discussion, we have confirmed that we are unable to provide a restoration or refund in this case, as the trading of pets is not intended behaviour. To further clarify the distinction, if the pet itself had gone missing or disappeared as a result of a bug, this would be a different situation and the Staff team would discuss it further. In this case, however, the pet remains intact and only the name was lost due to an unintended interaction. As such, our decision on this matter remains unchanged.
