1000 Red Envelop run, are they worth it?

So I decided to open 1000 red envelopes today, here are the results.


157,400NX equals
35*5 + 5 = 180 tickets

1000 tickets = 5b approximately
so 180 tickets = 900,000,000 mesos in gain

Since total Meso spent is 733,530,000
total gain from buying 1000 red envelope at 900k Each is around: 166,470,000
Can probably push it a little higher if I buy the envelops at a cheaper price.

 

Me reading this after just having sold my entire stack of red envelopes last night for 650k ea.

 

I tried a 600 envelopes run a couple of days ago and got around 70m and 65k nx.
Perhaps I should sell the future envelopes instead

 

To add on, I did a 3000 ticket run today. I think, either you got really lucky on the NX or I got really unlucky for 3 rounds of 1000.

1st 1000:
Mesos gained: 172,955,000
NX gained: 107,950

2nd 1000:
Mesos gained: 164,380,000
NX gained: 99,100

3rd 1000:
Mesos gained: 180,470,000
NX gained: 98,700


Total gain:
Mesos: 517,805,000
NX: 305,750

Based on your calculations, assuming:

1. 900k per RE
2. 1000 gacha tickets = 5b

Total spent: 2.7b
Total Gachapon tickets bought: 351
Estimated value: 1.755b
Mesos gained: 517,805,000

Total net position will be: -427,195,000

tl;dr, proceed with caution, will still need some luck to breakeven.

 

My information from last year suggested 10k NX per 100 envelope so yours is probably the normal one.

 

agree OP got really lucky, I was disappointed with my 580 envelope run but it's the only way to buy gacha tickets with meso so...

Did yoy get some goodies from gacha at least? Except of one stone tiger head that didn't cover half the cost I got only useless items.
And 2 str maple leaves on a priest ‍♂️

 

I value gacha somewhat high for getting the face accessory maple leaf, otherwise gachaing at the best ones like cbd/nlc/shrine is like 4-5m/1knx

Cost: 8,800,000 mesos
Payout: 110,000 mesos, 10,000 NX

Based on these results we can conclude that each RE is worth 909 NX, or approximately 3m.

Anyways, with that in mind I'm going to stop there and S> the rest of my RE, 2m each! What a deal!

I opened 1026 Red Envelopes
Got 189mil Mesos / 140k NX

 

So at a valuation of 1k NX = 4m
Total earned: 189m + 140 * 4m = 749m
Divided 1.026 (total envelopes) = 749/1.026 = 730k per envelope aprox. valuation.

Good to know, at 1k nx = 3.5m it would be 662k per envelope.

 

I bought these at 700k each so it will require some luck to be even/profit from those

 

Coming back for 2026 REs

1. 1103 first REs : 193m + 126600 NX
   
   
2. 1100 next RE : 223m + 99150NX
   
   
3. 1100 REs : 193m + 117450 NX
   
   
4. 1122 REs: 170m + 79000 NX

Total : 4425 Res for 422200 NX and 779.5m

expected loss : ~~1110m

 

this is def lame.
RE are not worth it, and can serve only as a method to trade mesos -> nx, at a cost of losing mesos.

This was always (and always will be) the case.
And people would keep on buying them because they are addicted to gambling.
Also, nothing about it is lame, the value of RE is purely depends on supply and demand, the fact that you are loosing meso opening it is purely because people are willing to loose meso opening it.

 

I made a 2206 run was around 590k per RE for if i take the nx divide by 3100 and multiply by 10.5m as per APR. I guess thats ok although it was still better to sell them. But i needed APRs, so the hastle to sell and then buy APRs was worth it for me.
