First of all, I read all your message, since your a close friend of me who did forum games with me, I hope you do fine in real life.

This is a serious offence of making someone feel bad, and it's you ,a very nice person.

What I wanna say about this is the following:

Clearly mawi don't give about someone feelings, and only care about billions.

I am well funded myself, earned everything myself and I even give items away, or help players out.

At least not high loans, only if you know you get it back 100%.

Hi all,

I'm here to give my input on this matter on behalf of OHMS leadership team as one of our member is getting called out and OHMS was mentioned in the screenshot. This post/comment is mainly to address the situation that was presented.

Firstly, given the evidence, we do agree our member Mawii is in the wrong for not being able to fulfill his debt. We believe that the person who owes should take the initiative of updating the person loaning, irregardless. Knowing that Mawii has had multiple instances of loaning and has paid on time, that doesn't take away the fact that he chose to self ban (on multiple instances since the loan) and forego the payment for an extended period. The screenshot mentioned that Yudofu would inform us but we were NOT notified of this incident. If OHMS leadership was informed of this, we would have stepped in to resolve this matter immediately because we have settled many previous cases with other OHMS members. As of now, we were informed that he has returned to the middleman of the 2 on 3rd of May 26.

Secondly, as this matter was brought public, my understanding is resolution is not the aim but public shaming/character defamation. This issue can definitely be settled personally and does not require the public sentiment.

Thirdly, (this is my own personal opinion, not the team) I am generally against public humiliation. Being acquainted to the 2 of you, it does leave a bad taste after reading the entire post and conversation. Airing someone's dirty laundry doesn't just put the other person at a bad light, it also does put you in one as well. Having been involved (unfortunately) in a couple of disputes, the best is to settle internally, tell your friends, move on. The initial post was understandable but beyond that, the motive of the post has changed and I find myself questioning why do you want to air the entire conversation (both the initial post and his reply). To let it out and feel good? To stir something in the pot? Nonetheless, the damage is done and knowing only one side of the story, public perception does go against Mawii.

Last but not least, I recall a couple of months ago where the decision was made to prevent the use of discord screenshots as part of evidence. Let's try to abide by the community blacklist guidelines. I am not siding anyone here. I have seen a couple of dramas/blacklist that was unfairly judged because the rules have shifted so let's abide by them. Thank you.

 

Alright I think we'll leave it at that. As Raimie mentioned, the rule that we don't accept discord conversations as evidence anymore was implemented months ago since it's outside of the game and can be very easily manipulated, deleted and covered up. You can pretend to be someone else, you can delete your account and make a new one or just change your username on discord and claim your innocence. It's not a viable source to use as evidence.

Obviously if someone took a loan and refuse to pay it back, that's not good. But in order to keep some consistency here, share the terms of a loan in-game with the person you are giving a loan to and screenshot it. Making a deal outside of the game is risky.

First of all, I apologize for making Ohms appear involved.
I should have blurred the guild name but I missed that part. Since Ohms is Mawi’s main guild, I mentioned it during the conversation.
However, in reality, the incident was discussed mainly within the guilds and Discord groups that both of us were part of.

While talking with the people defending him and also with Mawi himself, they kept saying that I was doing this for public shaming.
However, a blacklist thread, by its nature, cannot completely avoid the purpose of public warning and accountability.
I gave him countless chances and waited more than five months. And this was the answer I received after all that waiting.


I waited as long as I could and genuinely tried to resolve this internally but it failed. That is why this had to become my last resort.
I dislike making things bigger than necessary or getting involved in drama so I almost never read the blacklist section.

Since when did reporting a scam and exposing a scam become treated as humiliating someone’s private matters? Since when did that become a witch hunt?
From now on, if someone gets scammed, stalked, or anything else and it cannot be resolved internally, are victims supposed to just stay silent?

Regarding the Discord content, I had not been playing the game for a while and this incident happened during that time. Because of that, most of the relevant conversations took place on Discord.
However, that does not change the fact that this was still related to an in-game scam.
I understood the rule about Discord content as applying only to private content that is completely unrelated to the game. Since this case was about an in-game scam, I thought it would be okay. I may have misunderstood that rule.

Lastly, I am someone who is leaving anyway, while Mawi is someone who will continue playing. I have no intention of getting him restricted from playing and I do not have any way to do that.
However, even after multiple conversations, there was no real progress and he continued to act as if nothing had happened. I felt that was not right and that is why I wrote the post.

Although I may not be in the best position to say this after bringing the issue up publicly, as someone who is leaving, I do not intend to escalate this matter any further from this point on. To be honest, as you mentioned, part of me also wanted to let out what I had been holding in. At this point, I believe I have already done what I needed to do.

P.S. I have heard several times that Mawi keeps saying I should contact Matthew and I am honestly tired of hearing that. I still do not understand why my friend and I should be involved in the matter between Matthew and Mawi.
Mawi has Matthew’s contact information, bank details and they were close enough for real money to be involved.
I only occasionally watched movies with Matthew in Discord. I do not have his contact information and I do not have any way to help with that. If I had a way, I would have tried.

That said, I am sorry that the real money issue has not been resolved. I sincerely hope you can get that money back someday. In any case, regarding what Matthew did to you, I do support you on that matter.
This is also the first time I have spoken this openly about how I feel so I am not sure how to handle everything afterward. If I overstepped, I apologize.

As mentioned by @Raimie, we are taking your allegations regarding Mawi's actions (scamming) very seriously, and we don't expect the victim to remain silent. One possibility could be to reach out to Ohm's leadership, as you originally planned, before making it public, which might invite unnecessary comments from outsiders aimed at both of us.

Regardless, we would like to verify your claim about the 6 ws that were lent to Mawi.
Has it been returned?

Now that you've finished sharing your grievances, let's put aside all the unnecessary details (between Mawi and Matthew, etc.) and concentrate solely on your reporting case.

We are open to discussing this on Discord before we finalize and close this case.
