Switching topics a bit I want to know what people think about the NLC mansion chimney.

For those who don't know, the chimney was an expansion on the NLC mansion (Known as Haunted House 2 in V.77)which feature 3 new monsters (rotting skeles, scarecrows and twisted jesters). These monsters have extremely good xp for their levels.

I personally would like to see these monsters balanced as in vanilla V.83 they are overpowered training areas ,and dominate over other training areas. I think that these areas will detract players from exploring other areas of the world as they are the best xp pretty much from 20-90.
This is one of the main reasons that I don't really like unbalanced v83 servers.

 

There was a discussion topic on this before. Try and search and sift through to find it. Consensus was that it was OP and had no real reason to be implemented.

It's been brought up a few times, but most are pretty old iirc.

 

I like it better without mansion. More nostalgic to kill various mobs outside the mansion. Would u wanna b only training there from 30-100ish?

 

The problem with mansion is lpq/lmpq will die entirely. A 70 area such as jesters would be nice since it's still a party area but if there were to be crows I feEl their experience would need balencin as they will surely replace the pq.

 

I am glad mansion is not in royals.

 

On top of that it's just gunna b another priest contaminated map. Yeah it's a bit bigger but a solo priest can easily handle crow and if gives them jesters which yet are helpful at as well making them less party reliant in the 75 plus as they are now in ws. I could see mansion being a great addition if there were tweaks to the monsters hp/xp to make it much mote party oriented, not just for crows but jesters as well. I can see one decked out priest takin a jesters map solo. What would be rad and this is hypothetical given they might nor be adding this at all but if the experience at those maps were extremely low but there is a party hunting bonus much like lhc had so the only way to make effective training would be large pts. However not sure if the map experience pt bonus can even be adjusted in the v83 client.

 

I think party bonus XP is already a thing, it's just not shown differently. Twisted Jesters is a horrible training location. Wolf Spiders are miles better and the issue you want to be concerned with is the potential leeching opportunity that will arise if they are released.

 

Yeah. I don't quite remember all the bonus from this time I just remember in v83 jesters being the place to go if you didn't mp3. But who's to say they are even going to put it in it's all speculation. Besides as they stated in the post they are going to scale to the current rate and I'm sure they are going to maintain the nostalgia.

 

it's been stated many (many, MANY) times that these areas are not going to be released, just not in this topic. I'm sure they didn't think it was necessary to repeat given how many times it's been suggested and shot down in the past.

yeah, they will make the game almost 100% perfect. Including CWKPQ and other pq fixes like Carnival PQ.

 

IMO 3rd party critical hits would make this server feel A LOT more like global and give a better nostalgic feel for the game. Looking foward to CWKPQ and CPQ tho Also, when is this actually going to happen?
