sup guys. I'm new to royals, came over from GMS, this is the first maplestory Iv played in about 5 years.

Tried to hop on GMS with my level 130 and it was just way too complicated and so much stuff.

Iv been browsing this forum trying to read up on "do's and donts"

    I'm a level 23 Mage and plan on becoming a cleric/priest because it's what I know.

    So far Iv gathered

    -Vote
    -Sell AP reset
    -sell gatchpon @ 50+
    -go luckless?

I want to go luckless but I'm worried about not having enough mesos or being able to find the godly type gear I need to be competitive.

Iv read Bella's bishop guide but any other useful info will help me out. Just trying to get back into the game.

    Thanks guys!

You definetly should go lukless, regardless of your budget.
HP washing is not for starters, you can read a guide, there are few here on the forum. It's basically using AP resets in order to achieve more HP.
Mages don't need to HP wash anyway, so don't worry about it :)

    Welcome to MapleRoyals!

As Endure said, you should definitely go for luckless as a mage because Elemental wands does not require stats. (Most likely your end game weapon)

HP washing is the process of reducing MP for HP. Highly not recommended for a new player due to the cost efficiency, AKA u could get better equips instead.

But if you want, here is the link to Guide to HP Washing http://royals.ms/forum/threads/fully-revised-hp-washing-guide.8286/

    Enjoy your time here!

Thanks for the prompt response and good info guys.

As a Mage it would make more sense to have more MP anyways than HP? Right?

So I should have 4 luck? Or at least have some to wear certain things?

That's entirely up to you, it's what makes your character special. Armor > DMG or vice versa, it's your choice :)

P.S Of course u can have half half (low-luck) =3=

End game you'll have to put 20 or so points into luk regardless so you could put 19 pts in right away to wear low level mage equips with big INT bonuses. That would result in losing about 300MP points approx by the time you hit 200. It's up to you either way but do not put more than 40 pts into luk as INT is what determines how high you hit and MP gain each level

At the moment my lvl100 lukless priest is running around with only INT earngs and a Bandana. Pretty much naked besides that. So it doesn't really hinder you that much.

Cool. Right now I'm level 24

    107 INT
    25 LUK

Been selling the crap out of AP reset, just seems like it will take forever to get enough money saved to have good equips.

Heard sauna robe and zakum helm are best.

You'd probably be better off starting over without any Luk. Keep it at 4 at all times.

Bishop path is easy to level with next to nothing, honestly.

Just go with cheapie maple weapons until you're 130 and then focus on getting a decent Ele wand.

You'll make small fortunes training as a bishop so start adding pieces of gear one at a time after your wand :D

Edit: In case I wasn't clear, I'm advising you to join #teamlukless

Awesome advice. You should add that to your bishop guide.

Guess I'll just keep hoarding NX and selling AP reset so I can get some items.

And luckless it is then. If any of yall want to add me my name is icey228

    Thanks!
