Hi. I'm new here. For some strange reason I can't run Windows Client because it says can't find wzmss.dll . I've read other forums, but I can't find the MapleRoyals folder... How do I fix this problem?

If you would have used the troubleshoot guide.

Please make sure that your MapleRoyals client is located in the MapleRoyals folder and that you are opening it from there.

The default location of the client should be 'C:\Program Files (x86)\MapleRoyals\' (for 64bit) or 'C:\Program Files\MapleRoyals\' (for 32bit).

If you want to open the game from the desktop you can right click the MapleRoyals.exe file, choose create shortcut, then drag this new shortcut file to your desktop. Do not drag the original MapleRoyals.exe file!

I never moved my files, they are still in the original location. But I still get this message?
I'm not very tech savvy so I'm sorry if I'm just doing something dumb.

I just switched computers, so I don't have access to it at the exact moment. But I had just clicked the two download options on the main download page: the SetUp and Client. Those were the only two things in the folder. And I had not moved anything into/out of the folder whatsoever

You need to run the setup and install the game.

I did run the setup and install.
The first time I did this, it said something about downloading the right version (32-bit or 64-bit) for my computer. My computer runs 64-bit but I didn't see anything that gave me an option of a different one to download.
This time, after setup and installation, it just gives me this message.
I also tried restarting and manually downloading with the .wz files, but the List.wz would not download. When I clicked on it, it just acted as a link to some gibberish.

You can't have used the setup if you have only that or else you are looking at the wrong folder.
I can download it just fine.
There are no different version I have no idea what you have been doing.

Try downloading the Windows client and replace the one in your folder.
If you have any antivirus programs, you will need to make an exception for the mapleroyals.exe or disable/uninstall them.

If that doesn't help you will need to go into the control panel and uninstall mapleroyals then delete the mapleroyals folder and download it again.

Okay, I tried that, and then I uninstalled and deleted and redownloaded from the beginning again. Now I get this message. I've tried changing the compatibility mode and running as administrator and still nothing. /: I also changed the settings in my antivirus program to allow MapleRoyals. /: I'm sorry, I know it must get frustrating for you. I just feel very lost. Capture.JPG

For me there is no problem I like helping out :D

These errors are weird cause they are very unusual, I really think this is a problem caused by your antivirus/firewall.

If you have Microsoft defender you need to disable it fully, there is an uncheck box for admin rights which turns it off.

If you have Microsoft Security essentials you need to uninstall it.

What browser do you use when you download the setup?

What antivirus do you have? and I would try uninstall it either way.

I use Google Chrome and Have Microsoft Security Essentials. I'll try uninstalling it now. Will I be able to reinstall it at a later point and still be able to get on Royals (assuming it works)?

Can't say I don't use it, if it is causing the problem, the best option is google for a guide or email the support team for it.
