When I attempt to log into Royals, I get the "banned for glitch abuse" message. Although I do remember being banned, it has been over a year, and I no longer remember the details of my banning. Royals has one of the greatest Maplestory Communities, and i would much like to return. Although I may have deserved the ban when i received it, regardless of what I have done, I genuinely feel as though, by being banned for over a year, that I have fairly served my punishment. Royals was one of the most fun servers I have ever played and I respectfully ask to be unbanned. It would be greatly appreciated and I would love to, once again, join the Royals community.

P.S if you do unban me, i would also greatly appreciate unbanning 'Smaller,' a close friend of mines, as well. -- Thanks for your time

 

You have been permanently banned for serious glitch abuse, which is something we do not offer unbans for. I'm sorry but you are still not permitted to play.

 

How could this be fair, John? I've done research throughout the forums just now and read the whole terms of service. Rule 20 in the terms of service states, "(Glitch Abuse) Exploit errors in design, features which are not documented and/or bugs to gain access that would otherwise not be available or to obtain any competitive advantage (Always contact a game master if you are unsure); Punishment: 1st offence - 3 day ban, 2nd offence - 7 day ban, 3rd offence - permanent ban" I did not receive 1 warning prior to my permanent ban and it was my 1st offence. Therefore I should have been only banned for 3 days, correct? I feel as though I am being treated unfairly because, as other people got to abuse glitches on their 1st offence and are only banned for 3 days, I got perma banned on my first offence, with no warning. I'm not trying to justify what I did, but I am asking to be treated as everyone else. Why is Smaller and I being treated disparagingly?

 

Which glitch were you banned for abusing? It all depends on the severity of the glitch.

You were also teaching others how to abuse, that's serious.

 

You say.. "It all depends on the severity of the glitch." The rules don't differentiate between severity at all. What differentiates 'glitch abuse' from 'SERIOUS glitch abuse?' Not trying to justify that I taught a close friend the glitch, but at the same time, I didn't see anything specifically about teaching the glitch to others being against the rules, either. Again, we abused the cpq glitch to gain a competitive advantage, which was WRONG, but according to the server's own rules, that's only meant to be a 3-day ban. Did everyone who abuse the glitch also get a perma ban, or was our case treated 'differently' for whatever reason?

 

Abusing a glitch to gain a minor advantage (for example, shop glitching) is met with a three day ban. However, abusing a glitch to level up faster and teaching friends how to do said glitch is something we take seriously. Yes, anyone abusing a glitch to level up faster than intended would be permanently banned.

Youtube? I don't recall any video. Like I said, it's been over a year+, but I strongly believe you have me confused with someone else. Do you possibly have a link to it? Furthermore, not to justify what I did, but there were MANY people who did the exact same thing and were NEVER given a permanent ban. None were even given a 3-Day ban, as far as I am aware, reiterating the point that my case was being treated VERY special to most other players.
