Either you are insane or do not live where snow falls. After you've dealt with it for 17 years in a row you get pretty freaking tired of it, and honestly it just looks like ugly/nasty slush I have to deal with. We just had our second snowfall of the season a couple days ago. I'm a bit cynical.
I live in New Jersey, we get plenty of snow. And I have not been committed yet, so I don't think I'm insane either. Trust me, I regret saying it when I'm out blowing and shoveling snow, but I love the look of snow.
I would not be able to go threw winter without snowmobiles but I still love it in about 2 weeks I've had 3 feet of snow
Snow's fairly rare and usually fairly sparse and short-lived here in London - send unwanted snow this-a-way please! <3
Oh really? I thought the weather gets terrible in London, even though there isnt alot of snow. Ive never been there though so I have no idea what its like exactly. Im from Israel guys. There is no snow here yet, but there was snow here last year. Similar to London the snow here tends to be short-lived and never gathers in a large amount. You do not need a shovel or anything else to remove it, it melts by itself very quickly here. Seeing as there is barely even really any rainfall over here at all, I'd assume I wont be seeing snow this year either.
We get plenty of cloud and rain, and we sometimes get brief but intense gale-force winds in October/November, but that's about it. If we get snow, it tends be during January-March, and usually only stays for a few days. We tend to get the hottest summer temperatures of anywhere in Britain, which can be a bit stifling because British houses typically don't have air-conditioning (we rarely need it!). We're quite lucky in that we usually miss out on the worst of the British weather problems. Coastal areas tend to be a lot more exposed and windy and at risk from storm damage; hilly areas, especially further north, tend to get heavier snowfall, and low-lying areas (especially in the south-west) are more at risk from flooding. To summarise British weather as a whole, though: it rains. A lot.
Luke don't be a wimp, I've dealt with snow for 21 years and still love it! When there's a layer of snow covering everything, it just looks so pristine and beautiful. I don't even mind shoveling snow unless it's really dense. Just looking out over a snow covered world makes it all worth it.
Meh I wouldn't mind snow if it wasn't so cold. Still got 3" coverings here and 70mph winds. Bit better than yesterday which was 130mph x_x yeah I didn't need any sleep that night anyway.
I think you got a better deal than some coastal places did yesterday evening/last night - at least you're not up to your waist in water (unless you're reading this in the bath, lol!).
I'm really jealous. I hate the snow.... EDIT: I remember a certain snow storm in Dallas on Thanksgiving in 1993...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrU8z4w8T-4
Its getting cold as hell here. I feel at home here with all the negativity about snow and the middle finger in the picture above. I think I'll explode if I see snow tomorrow in the morning
