Hey, so I just made this thread last night in "General Discussion" and thought it would be quite relevant here. Have a look!
As a fellow gambler myself I'm all for this, it sounds like a fun idea. But you have to keep in mind that by implementing this feature, it would mean the server taking a stance on pro-gambling, which is wrong on a moral standpoint. We have a lot of young people that play in this server as well so we wouldn't want to expose them to gambling at an early age where gambling isn't even legal for them. Sure it's just in-game currency but it would still condone the idea of gambling.
I think you're overestimating the impact this has on kids it a bit. Also its not really the servers responsibility to have a correct 'moral standpoint' in regard to those things. when I was in school we used to bet on stuff all the time, wehther it was yugioh or pokemon cards or whatever. I mean in this game you just go around and kill all creatures you see, wether its cute things like a bellamoa or something ugly like a vodoo. And still i dont see peta protesting against maplestory.
That had crossed my mind but I do have to agree with SuperYulin. I think that the moral aspect just seems legitimate as an idea, but would have very little relevance in practical application. Thanks for the input!
I like this idea, just showing my support I don't play minigames often but I think this would encourage me to do so! As for the gambling thing, I don't think it's that big of a deal. I'm pretty sure the majority of people who play here are in their early twenties anyway. I was also thinking about making a post to add the mini games that current gms sometimes rotates into the game. They're a lot more fun than omok and match cards imo. Too lazy to make a post and figure out what the names of the games are...
