    Hi~

    I am planning to start a new crossbowman character soon and I was just hoping if someone can tell me what skills I should be adding first and recommended training spots. Ive read in some guide beofre the Iron Arrow is the best skill to max first, is that true or I should max Mastery first instead?

    Oh and, because bowman is a class that cant attack in close range and they're somewhat slow.....which spots would I be able to train in for about levels 30-50?

    Thnx in advance if you have advice for me.

    Levels 30-50 you're in luck; we have CPQ here, and the way it's coded makes it very easy to go Iron Arrow first and perform brilliantly. I was in no way godly when I made my own Crossbowman, and this is what I was able to achieve by level 51, and my last CPQ.

    That's 1363 CP in 10 minutes, completely solo. People can do better, but it often takes a large bit of investment.

    Iron Arrow first is not only viable, but also opens up one of the few alternatives to CPQ, being Monkey Forest II, at a very early level; the EXP is brilliant and your level 50 crossbow drops there, allowing you to farm for an above average attack weapon to hold you until level 64 when you can pick up a Maple Nishada.

    I won't sugar coat it though; levels 51-72 are rough. Once Lupins at Monkey Forest slow down, the minimum range of Iron Arrow combined with the fact that it only shoots straight limits your ability to train at places with high spawn (read: Ghost Ship 2, the best training spot for these levels). After Iron Arrow is maxed, Crossbow Mastery should be maxed followed by level 6 booster (one minute is a reasonable tradeoff between how much you have to recast it and points being used). After that, I strongly suggest you max Power Knockback, as it'll help you train at either Voodoos or Forest of Golem by allowing you to move spawn away from you and abuse Iron Arrow.

    Once you hit third job, immediately put points into Mortal Blow until it's level 5 so that you can max Arrow Eruption. People may dispute this, but I stand by it that Ghost Ship 2, mobbing from the safe point on the stairs, is faster and easier than using Strafe to snipe Jr. Newties until around level 90. After AE and Strafe are maxed, I suggest you put points into Puppet; it'll allow you to more easily take on Headless Horseman (if you can find any!) when you're not sniping Newts. An alternative to Jr. Newties is Squids (Dangerous Sea Gorge II in Aquarium); mobbing with Arrow Eruption, especially in a party with HS if you can find it, is amazing EXP though you will burn potions. The potential for Glove Attack 60% scrolls made it worth it for me. Another alternative is Gobies, but Bone Fish personally drive me barking mad, so I avoided them.

    Thanks so much! I think I already know everything I need to know, your reply already includes everything in it! So nice of you to take the time and explain everything to me.

    Also thanks to everyone else in general who helped me and in the other Training thread as well. This only shows how friendly and helpful the community here is, unlike the communities in other servers *coughmapledestinycough*

    I have one more question, can arrow eruption be used in close range?

    Arrow Eruption is usable at close range, even if mobs are on top of you. I've said it many times; MapleRoyals is the best community around. You won't be sorry picking here.
