So, I saw a bunch of you guys did the personality test @John put up and it make me think you guys might be interested in the Myers Briggs personality test (among others!).
I know -a lot- about it, I've been very into all sorts of personality testing for a while (and astrology for that matter, if you ever want to strike up a conversation).

Myers Briggs Type Indicator (or MBTI)

The Myers Briggs test has 16 types of people, it's somewhat based on Carl Jung's psychological theory that people can be categorised based on their general attitude.
It measures you on 4 scales:
    Introvert --> Extrovert
Preference to spending time alone vs. spending time surrounded by people.
    Sensing --> Intuition
Tending to believe in things your can feel/see vs. having faith in the uncertain things in life.
    Feeing --> Thinking
Making decisions and acting based on feelings (I'm 76% Feeling, I'm insanely impulsive) vs. thinking about your options and making logical calculated decisions.
    Judging --> Perceiving
I tend to explain this one as seeing the world in black and white vs. in shades of grey (not those shades of grey), It's a little bit like whether you see things as either right or wrong, or tend to not be able to comment on any general issue without saying 'it depends on the situation'.

And so after completing the test you will come out with 4 letters, for example, I tend to score INFP (however, since I am an ambivert -in the middle of introvert and extrovert- my score is sometimes ENFP with a low %).

You will also have a degree of strength on the scale, like my 76% into Feeling and my 1% into Extrovert (I'm also pretty sure I'm over 90% Intuition but I might just retake the test with you guys to see) and this is worth paying attention to as instead of reading about it and thinking 'I'm not really like that fully' you can see the percent of how much like that you are!

Each type has it own massive analysis with a lot written about it, also check out the famous people with your type, it's very fun to see.

So here's the link for the test; http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp

If you are too lazy/busy to take the full test you can also assume your results on here: http://personalityclub.com/short-personality-test/

Most things are linked off of it, but if you are looking for something specific ask me please!

    Keirsey

Now, once you have your MBTI letters, you can check out your Keirsey type. I don't quite know how to explain the difference, but Kiersey is a theory of typing based on the MBTI and the temperaments (phlegmatic sanguine choleric melancholic). It has 16 types and it categorises those 16 into 4 main types; the Idealists, Guardians, Artisans and Rationals.

    Check out this page; http://www.keirsey.com/4temps/overview_temperaments.asp

On the right hand side it will have a list of all the 16 types, which main type they are in and the Kerisey description of their personality (I have recently read mine and some parts were shockingly spot on, which is always fun!).

The Temperaments, Elements and Hogwarts Houses

Now, fun facts for HP fans; JK Rowling based the 4 houses on a combination of the elements (earth, water, fire, air) and the temperaments (phlegmatic sanguine choleric melancholic), which correlate directly with the 4 Keirsey sections!

    So,
Gryffindor - Sanguine and Fire (Artisans)
Slytherin - Choleric and Water (Rationals)
Ravenclaw - Melancholic and Air (Idealists) #represent
Hufflepuff - Phlegmatic and Earth (Guardians)

Chemistry.com (Typing by Hormones & Neurotransmitters)

Chemistry.com (yes, a dating site) types up their users using a test that is based on people's neurotrasmitters. They measure Oestrogen, Testosterone, Dopamine and Serotonin and based on that you get 1 or 2 types out of their 4 type thing.

The types for this are; the Explorer, Director, Negotiator and Builder. (iirc I was a mix of Negotiator and Explorer).
I don't remember too much about this test, I hadn't actually looked into it in a while, but if you're interested it's definitely worth checking out!
To take it you need to sign up to the service (it is free) and you don't HAVE to use it for dating afterwards (unless you want to ofc)!

You can take this one here; https://www.chemistry.com/

    The Builder:
Chemical in charge: Serotonin (associated with sociability and feelings of calm)
Personality: Calm, managerial, conscientious, home-oriented but social
    Best match: The Explorer
    Worst match: The Director

    The Negotiator:
Chemical in charge: Oestrogen (associated with intuition and creativity)
Personality: With good social skills, imaginative, idealistic and sympathetic
Best match: Good with all types
    Worst match: None

    The Explorer:
Chemical in charge: dopamine (associated with curiosity and spontaneity)
    Personality: Spontaneous, risk-loving, curious, adaptable
    Best match: The Builder
    Worst match: The Director

    The Director:
Chemical in charge: testosterone (associated with independence and rational thinking)
Personality: Inventive, focused, logical, direct and daring
    Best match: The Negotiator
    Worst match: The Builder

The first time I did this, I was ISTJ. I will have to take this test to see if it remains the same.

EDIT: Taking it today, I got ESTJ, though I'm sure no one is surprised by the TJ part, my two strongest categories :p
    Extravert(9%) Sensing(6%) Thinking(34%) Judging(56%)
    • You have slight preference of Extraversion over Introversion (9%)
    • You have slight preference of Sensing over Intuition (6%)
    • You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (34%)
    • You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (56%)
In communication ESTJs are open but often demanding. They expect others to fulfill what was discussed and agreed upon, in due time and in the proper manner. ESTJs most often embody this attitude just as well toward themselves.

ESTJs are usually not comfortable with situations requiring especially good people skills, e.g. being particularly delicate or patient. Their open and direct proclamation of their principles and intentions may sometimes hurt the feelings of the more feeling types (F) or provoke strong resistance on part of other leadership-oriented people who may have a different opinion. Now you know why I am the way I am everyone ;)

ESTJs often find it hard to express themselves when they have to talk about finer feelings: such topics as love or lyric poetry may not produce a strong emotional response in them. However, they are usually actively involved in events and gatherings that involve expression of feelings and emotions, such as feting persons of extraordinary bravery, or in charity events.

An ESTJ will normally have an extensive circle of friends, colleagues, and contacts they make during such events as receptions, meetings, entertainment events, and recreational activities.

An ESTJ's business communication is likely to be active and frequent. Their colleagues (or others who work in the same field) are often reliant on, or interested in, their competent opinion of counsel on professional subjects. Their business communication usually involves an exchange of opinions, as well as a discussion of management issues and practical solutions.

I'm an INTP, and once I even got ENTP (5% E). I've taken this test several times and I usually get >15% I, but taking it just now produced a 44% I, which doesn't surprise me considering how introverted I've been lately. @Courtney is also an INTP. Here's my results this time around.

That basically sums it up. I hate it when something or someone is trying to make a point in a way that doesn't make logical sense or when people can't understand nuance (an art I feel is all but lost in our dichotomatic society.) I love thinking about abstract principles or ideas and often have arguments with myself in my head to try to get a better grasp on a topic. One time I spent way to much time in the shower thinking about how it made sense that our world is a cyber social experiment conducted by otherworldly intelligent species to test policy and society. Yeah, I'm weird.

Anyways, if anyone wants to have a discussion on almost anything without it turning into an argument hit me up! I'll most likely play devil's advocate, which many people seem to find annoying, but I always enjoy having respectful discussions with people.

I remember taking this similar test a few years back, and I'm not surprised I got the same result back. I am surprised by how introverted I am, but it makes sense to me.
@LittlePuff you should take this test too.

Hasn't changed from the last several times I've taken the test. I've doubted it because it's considered the "rarest" type but the descriptions really fit me to a T. I think the "rareness" of this type comes from the inherent conflicts between feeling/introversion/judging.

Example: I care about people and genuinely love helping others so I am a volunteer note-taker for students with disabilities. I tutor occasionally and hold group study sessions before big exams. I start by helping 1 or 2 people but somehow that number expands and more and more students approach me for help. YIKES! I'm introverted so although I can communicate well (especially in small groups), I feel really drained after too much social interaction. So even though I care about others, I also start to regret helping them at times when it gets overwhelming. Then I feel guilty for not wanting to help them.

The conflict between feeling and judging is the worst part. I offered to help someone by giving them a copy of the notes for a lecture they missed. After that day, this person would ask me for my notes at least once week and I built a lot of resentment. I went from caring and wanting to help, to completely disliking this person and thinking of them as lazy and entitled.

@Aly I feel like this is the 5th time you've posted something like this. :p I at least remember doing this test several times already here!

    INTJ
    I
    ntrovert(6%) iNtuitive(44%) Thinking(38%) Judging(12%)
    • You have slight preference of Introversion over Extraversion (6%)
    • You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (44%)
    • You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (38%)
    • You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (12%)
I often come across as an extrovert person, especially online, but in real life, I tend to be quite introvert. My results on this test often vary on that, though... 2/3 of the time I'm INTJ, 1/3 I'm ENTJ. :p

Also, the description really points out a few characteristic traits of me...
    • INTJs are perfectionists.
    • While they are capable of caring deeply for others (usually a select few), and are willing to spend a great deal of time and effort on a relationship, the knowledge and self-confidence that make them so successful in other areas can suddenly abandon or mislead them in interpersonal situations.
    • INTJ will expect inexhaustible reasonability and directness.
Edit: According to the video you posted, I'd be in Ravenclaw... Which is good because that's where my character in my own fan fiction is in. ^^

When I first took it my results were strongly preferred to Introversion, Thinking, Judging.
(I had marginal preference with the I or S but can't remember which one came out on top)

I find it a bit sketchy, but it could be accurate since I've been trying to be more social since then.

Its interesting if it's very different, but as for changes in your results I think they're only natural and just a proof you've been changing and developing, and most people do :)

My results went from I to E when I turned 18 and started drinking often, basically, since I then became more open to meeting new people and talk to people I didn't know. I'm pretty sure this server had a lot to do with me becoming a more open person :x

I also think things like N and F goes down if one grows up to become less trusting :o

    Point is, people change :D
