Me and @Plenty made (are still working on) this spreadsheet for you to use! Finally an answer to the questions "What's the strongest DPS class?" or "How much damage do I actually do?". A few notes: This is solely for single-target DPS against bosses. Some classes (e.g. Mages, Buccaneers or Shadowers) might excel at grinding, so their DPS might seem a bit low; this is just because these classes are meant for other things than bossing. It's a work-in-progress: I'm posting this to get feedback and to rule out mistakes on my side. I'm not as familiar with all classes as I am with my main class (Thief), so please let me know if you see mistakes. Also still working on the Warrior part, which should be done within the following days. I limited the cells you can edit and what you can actually put in them to avoid misuse of the spreadsheet. If you want to find out your DPS, mess around with the attack on your weapon/equips to get your range. I'm aware that some of my formulas can be shortened a lot and some parts are redundant, but it's easier for me that way. Don't bother pointing it out. Please post your feedback here, it's much appreciated! Thank you.
The two hand axe should probably be calculated with the Colonian Axe since it has Normal (6) speed as opposed to the Dragon Battle Axe's Slow (7) speed. Or you can calculate it with both, I wouldn't mind that either. xD
It would be nice to note what kind of gear you're using for each class, even if it's not modifiable. For warriors, Red Katana and Dragon Claymore are the best sword DPS under certain conditions, and should be included in the comparison if possible. Is Echo applied? Check out this thread if you want to compare your warrior sword calculations to calculations that were done previously.
We used near-perfect or very good gear as top, bottom and helmet, considering that those equips don't actually have a big impact on your DPS. I can make a list later. I'll add those, too, to make the comparison complete. No, I can add it, though. Thanks for your input.
If you could add Crushed Skull that would be great! edit: Also Paladins cannot use Axes, only Swords and BWs. edit2: Crushed Skull can go to a theoretical maximum attack of 160.
Umm they could be when it comes to damage calculation (not sure tbh), but the main reason I meant it is because BW have Crushed Skull (which can go up to 125 ATT clean) whereas Axes don't really have a good endgame axe.
Nope, only Hero's can use axes while only Pallies can use BW. But the damage calculation for axes and BWs are almost the same iirc.
To do list: Add in 100 Magic Attack to the mage DPS Add in SE/SI damage to mages Figure out ACA formula Possible upgrade to attack equips Add summons for Bowmans
Do corsairs have the +20% from bullseye included? They also have a octopus summon (shitty, but still).
Based on other damage calculations and guides (like this and this), it's been determined that ACA is a 190% multiplier total (140% for combo + 50% for ACA), leading to Hero's damage multiplier of 988%: Code: (2.60 * 2) * (1.40 + 0.50) = 9.88 I don't have the means to test these multipliers unfortunately. Also, no idea what the multipliers in the skill descriptions correspond to.
Alright, working on Warriors now. I will update the following: Replace Axes for BW for Paladins Replace Colonian Axe for Dragon Battle Axe Add damage formula of Warriors Add Bowman summons (if I have the time)
Looking for confirmation on Hero vs DrK damage. I did the math and got following results with SE/SI, a perfect weapon and pretty good W.ATT gear: DrK DPS with Crusher: 181k Hero DPS with Brandish (ST user): 211k I didn't expect a 30k difference, I actually thought they would nearly be equal. Can someone confirm that my math is correct? The clean DPS of a DrK is 170% * 3 * 2 * 1000 / 930 = ~1,096.8% DPS The clean DPS of a Hero is 260% * 2 * 1.9 * 1000 / 690 = ~1,431.9% DPS No SE/SI included here. With the maximum range being... Hero: (STR * 4.6 + DEX) / 100 * W.ATT DrK: (STR * 5 + DEX) / 100 * W.ATT And the minimum range being... Hero: (STR * 4.6 * 0.9 * 0.6 + DEX) / 100 * W.ATT DrK: (STR * 3 * 0.9 * 0.8 + DEX) / 100 * W.ATT Of course, DrK calculations are done with Berserk. Is everything correct here and if so, are DrKs just that weak?
Idk about the calculations but DrKs were always considered under-powered until they got a buff later on. Having to use 3rd job attacking skills as your primary DPS skill was not a great idea by Nexon.
