Oh I should just mention in case anyone else tried a few of my extra links - I said check out match.com for the neurological test but I'm an idiot, it's chemistry.com!
I only realised when talking about it last night so
    Just in case :D

Edit: Thought this might interest a bunch of you, find yourself in the statistics :D

This is a result I got from a similar test using Jung's typology as developed by Myers, Briggs, von Franz, and van der Hoop that Steve and I did awhile back, I'll do the one you posted when I have time ^^

    INTP
    Introvert(59%) iNtuitive(31%) Thinking(1%) Perceiving(22%)
    • You have distinct preference of Introversion over Extraversion (59%)
    • You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (31%)
    • You have marginal or no preference of Thinking over Feeling (1%)
    • You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (22%)
every time I take one of these I'm on the edge of Thinking and Feeling and it's been either one, so I guess I'm either INTP or INFP depending on the day

Usually I come out as an INTJ, doesnt surprise me though that I'm an ISTJ this time around though as it's been years since I've taken this test and they cut some questions.

    ISTJ
    Introvert(47%) Sensing(6%) Thinking(69%) Judging(50%)
    • You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (47%)
    • You have slight preference of Sensing over Intuition (6%)
    • You have distinct preference of Thinking over Feeling (69%)
    • You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (50%)

I've taken a dozen of these over the last ten years, and I don't think I've ever had the same result twice....

I almost always get a moderate preference for Thinking over feeling, but the rest of them are pretty much a coin flip, usually a 1-5% preference one way or the other. Got ENTP this time with a 3%, 3%, 19%, 3% preference rate, fits right in with the pattern! Think I was INTJ last time.

ISFPs are the first to hear the different drummer. Many eagerly plunge into new fashions, avant garde experiences, 'hip' trends--some even setting the trends.

More in touch with the reality of their senses than their INFP counterparts, ISFPs live in the here and now. Their impulses yearn to be free, and are often loosed when others least expect it. The ISFP who continually represses these impulses feels 'dead inside' and may eventually cut and run. (One ISFP friend has become nonambulatory within the past few years. He will still, on impulse, leave home in the middle of the night and go to Las Vegas or wherever, regardless of the difficulties of his physical condition.)

ISFPs may be quite charming and ingratiating on first acquaintance, flowing with compliments which may (or may not) be deserved. On other occasions, the same individual may be aloof and detached. Some ISFP males are fiercely competitive, especially in sport or table games, and may have great difficulty losing. This competitive nature, also seen in other SP types, sometimes fosters 'lucky,' 'gut' feelings and a willingness to take risks.

Organized education is difficult for the majority of ISFPs, and many drop out before finishing secondary education. Their interest can be held better through experiential learning, at which many excel. ISFPs will practice playing an instrument or honing a favored skill for hours on end, not so much as practice as for the joy of the experience.

However, I know I'm way more introverted than extroverted so I was probably just cheating accidentally.

I have tried Myers Briggs a few times over the course of a few years now. It's always INTJ for me..

I read somewhere that this type is somewhat linked to autism as well. Not a claim or anything, but just a neat fact

When I look at careers paths for INTJ the first result is computer science / engineer which is basically what im studying. The second path is administration and I am going to take administration classes soon as it helps getting manager job.

INTJ strenghts and weaknesses that fits me :
    • quick, imaginative and strategic minded
    • open-minded
    • sometime arrogant (with people I know :p)
    • judgmental
I am not an expert of personality testing like you but I found some relevant things in my results.
In my opinion, everyone is so different and there is not test that can tell you who you are.
Thus, take it or leave it these test can help people.

I agree that there's a load more to everybody than these tests, but its a nice to way to categorise people so to speak. To get a rather general yet accurate explanation of how someone's brain works :)

As for what you said about strengths and weaknesses thats usually what I look into when personality testing, I seem to usually agree with teh weaknesses and then second guessing the strengths heh, I suppose I can be sensitive to wanting to believe I'm good at something as opposed to actually having that strength, if that makes ANY sense. :)

I'm also graduating with my Computer Engineering degree in the fall so the career path also fits with me as well. Although I wouldn't say I'm arrogant, I'm more humble when working with peers (I like to think other people have more strengths than I do so I can get along better).

I also feel like these test results make it easy to learn about people as we not only see how they present themselves but how their personnality / brain works and think.

Same goes with me but when I hang with friend I find myself being arogant sometime. :8):
Whenever i'm professionally involved (school or work) I tend to give credit to everyone but me so I understand exactly what you feel. ~f2
