What bothers you about the server? #royalsconfessions

Just one thing anything small, not saying lets be unthankful because of course everyone works very hard to keep it ship shape, but just anything that bothers you at all?

Well, this is extremely difficult for me to talk about as it's rather personal.

I am a pig. It's who I am. I have accepted it. However, i'm sick of being ostracized by the community because i'm different from everyone else.

I just want to be accepted, loved, cared for. I have feelings too. Just because i'm a pig doesn't mean I can't feel, love, be loved.

The slowness. I'll admit it; it sucks how long it takes to level up. Not enough to make me want to quit, but enough that I get glum because I don't have enough time to keep moving up as fast as I did.

 

Someone who applied for the GM position less than 2 hours before he made this post.

Oh boy, yessir. Nothing personal against GMs maybe bad judgement ofcourse at times, very very rash decisions, and honestly most of all biased.

 

I think we should put a limit on how long you should be with the server, and also allow people to vouch for us, maybe speed up the process itself? I myself am at fault to this because I applied a week after I joined, I will be deleting the thread, does that mean I have to wait three months? Either way I probably won't be applying for awhile I want to establish myself. I want to really be known and help out the community.

This. On a non-dragon related footnote training can make you glum when you feel like things are slower and slower and slower with respect to the time spent :<

I admit I choose a class which is the best at training, and I'm guilty of self-leech (cuz washing since im so diiiiiiiiirty ) but it gets to me too. I'm too spoiled by prewipe exp (and I've developed a healthy hatred for GS2 along the way)

Actually, this is what really bothers me (like 12 hours later from originally posting this comment):

The fact that MapleStory has become boring for me. I've played it too many times. Nostalgia is not even a thing anymore because this is what I've played, what I've always played. This server, v62 (or v55) is the large make up of my existence on MapleStory. This bothers me drastically. The only drive to actually play this server given the version is the community, which I don't even participate with much anymore anyway. It is very sad for me. I miss being able to come on this game and feel I had a purpose or duty to do, and actually enjoy fulfilling that task. I don't enjoy MapleStory anymore, and haven't for a significant amount of time (years.)

When I was approached by my old buddy Tom (the one you all know well) about this server, I was sort of ecstatic. It was a change from high to low rate, which I hadn't participated in for some time. So I came here. I enjoyed playing on my bishop and got into the top 10. Things were comfortable, but it was a matter of time where I would slowly stop playing. The wipe brought hope but failed with me. I come on maybe once or twice a week, and maybe an hour max each time if I'm lucky.

MapleStory has lost interest for me and a lot of others I know. The changes you guys are making to bring in new features such as Wizet edits are great, but ultimately do not bring any motivation for an old bum such as myself to bother logging in. I had applied to GM to sort of find that place again. Become part of an active team to work on a project together. I was hopeful, which I have learned not to be hopeful after years of applying to various servers. I ended up deleting my application and having a bit of an argument with an administrator.

I'm not superstitious, and I don't believe much in fate or a father figure above, but I think that the direction this server has lead me is good. I think this will be the last server I play in, hopefully, and I am fine with that. You guys are freaking awesome, and I hope I can make some of you friends I still talk to four years or more from now (like Tom! or Vicki, Cherry, Hugo.)

Special thanks to: Tom. Dan, Chelsea, Aly, Blake, Christine, other Christine, Ty, Chris, and the entire rest of the staff for keeping this server together and making it enjoyable every step of the way.

This is not a thread saying I am quitting, I am still here. Still active on the forum and Skype. I am just commenting on what I am bothered by on this server and MapleStory in general.

 

Compared to the other servers I can't really complain about the gm's on mapleroyals. I don't get why people want to be gm's in the first place. It seems like all they do is listen to complaints.

Lol'd. Your attitude towards the staff has changed a lot ever since you were denied a position. Not saying I always support the staff in everything they do, but green is not a flattering color.

 

The repetitiveness. Although Maple Story is a game I wont and never will forget and it will always be something I'd take with me for the rest of my life.....it just wont ever change positively. No matter how much events or content would be added, it just wont change that fact.....and combine that with 4x exp, which is, without a doubt much more challenging, it is also much slower - I mean, it HAS to be slower to make it challenging, but it also makes it more repetitive and boring at the same time.

Dont get me wrong guys, I love Maple Story and I always will, no doubt about that. But with that being said, it might be the time for me to move on to other things, to change the atmosphere of logging in and doing precisely the same thing for a few hours just to, what, get to a higher level so I can do it even MORE. Thats the issue that always existed in Maple Story, not just MapleRoyals. Dont get me wrong, I havent made any decision here and I remain a veteran Maple Story player, but I lose the motivation to play very rapidly lately. I might just need a long break of about a month maybe, so after a month I can come back with much more motivation. Just like when you're tired, you dont enjoy anything you're doing until you get some sleep first. And that might just be the case here.
