The reason I made this thread is because it takes too long for a gm to respond to a report. I'll just believe that they are busy doing other stuff that supports the server.
Never said it was a priority, it was a suggestion. I'm just saying people would enjoy the server better if this was implemented .
If I see your suggestion differently, it would be that you complain on not enough GM coverage in game. The suggestion about having GM's as warp mules is pretty bad, since if a GM is online and get a ~gm message after a server problem I'm sure they will respond, if they have the time.
There are times were the GMs themselves aren't online. You seem to have some sort of belief that GMs are support slaves that are usually online 24/7. And that they never seem to want to respond. If there's a case where they respond 30 mins after, you should consider yourself lucky as some people don't even get any respond. You have to understand that we're not always here, and that re-warps are not an obligation.
Ill be honest, I do not think gms have enough coverage of the game. I'm not saying that the gms right now are doing a poor job but, servers expanding and need more gms. Last time I saw someone doing wz edit at fm for about 2hrs. No response, Don't even know if he got banned or not.
Even if you get people willing to volunteer their time to perform this task, there is no guarantee that they would be on during server instability to provide rewarps. You end up exactly where we started off. Add more rewarp GMs? Why not give everyone a rewarp command?
I dont understand when people twist my words it went from suggestion of a rewarping gm to a I believe gms are support slaves? I understand the fact that gms are not always online. Many things aren't obligated to do by a gm. They could careless about us. But Im just saying. having a gm for a rewarp would be beneficial to the community
That doesn't make sense, if someone is using outdated files, they will be banned, but you can report that person instead of complaining. The server lag is being fixed, and they have been working very very hard on it. Also 3 new gm's was hired quite recently, there is a limit to how many gm's the server can hire at a time, or have employed. A rewarp gm would only be able to warp when online, same as now. It would be unfair for everyone else if a GM will be online and ignore everyone else because they are "warp mules"
I said this before, but the only commands this gm has is to rewarp. nothing else. That way the community doesn't get mad like how you are saying. And lag is always going to be there no matter what, if the server stops growing then maybe its fixable but till that day its still going to be there. That brings up my point because the lag is always going to be there, I feel like this is a good idea.
I've played on servers in what if you get dced from server (sv lag or u internet down) , you could go back in three minutes and would be within the map yet. Why not implement this feature here?
The lag will actually be fixable in part with the new source. Also, giving any old person a warp command and letting them rewarp would not be good. People with those commands at present are trusted to not abuse the privilege. If we haphazardly assigned people the privilege of warping others, who's to say they would be honest and only do it when necessary?
You can just dc urself once you finish krex and get rewarped back and do a new one. Same with other bosses like zakum & probaly other bosses. Easily exploitable dontcha think?
If I'm doing that, why don't I just make them full GMs so they can do other activities and better support the server?
The reason that I made that rather rude post is to clarify this; I've been watching MapleRoyals a lot over the last two years that I've been a part of this community and I have a lot of experience with what it takes to be a Game Master here. There is no one person, no two people, no five people that can cover the sheer amount of rewarps that this community is granted the opportunity to have by our discretion as staff. Is that a problem? Definitely. Is that our fault for biting off more than we can chew? Arguably, yes. Is that something that we are actively trying to rectify? Yes, as seen by our attempts to cover odd time zones, and working on a new source to make such constant warps not necessary. I do sincerely apologize for the wait that you had to endure; I'm no model of staff activity at the moment myself, being largely tied up with my seasonal work commitment at the moment, but I want to say very plainly that no one, two or even five people would completely rectify the issue we have with rewarps, no matter who they are. You mentioned a name, and she's a friend of mine and I mean absolutely no offense to her, but I know what a GM was required to do back in 2013 and I know what a GM is required to do now, and all I can say is, as respectfully as I can, you players have no idea.
