    Hello guys!

I've been around for a while now but I've been very inactive since I don't seem to have any motivation to play MapleStory lately. Once upon a time, a few years back I was this serious grinder and I used to be online for hours each and every day. But then I discovered League of Legends..

See, this game was different because you actually have to think before doing anything in-game unlike this grinding on MapleStory where you basically smash and hold the same buttons over and over again for hours to level up.

I know I can enjoy MapleStory if I just start out but there's such a long way to the end-game which is what I enjoy the second most. The thing I enjoy the most about Maple is the social aspect of the game. I'm already in the guild Synergy and everyone seems to be nice but haven't been able to really "connect" to anyone in there yet.

So what I'm asking here for is if anyone of you are interested in getting to know a cool dude (yes, I'm talking about myself) and wanna hang in-game to chat about whatev's, you can contact me by adding "Emrah.

Also if any of you have some different kind of motivation, please do tell!

Hi there :> Add me on my legits: Daenerys and Arya. I think Dany is full up atm so just add me on Arya for now :D

I know how you feel mate. After the wipe I felt so exceptionally demotivated to train that I felt like giving up a couple of times. Luckily, with some help, I plowed on to remake both of the characters that I lost. As for my motivation.. I think I'm slightly powah crazy cos after I hit a certain point in grinding (usually after third job)- I'll feel like being hardcore and going pro and then I'll basically devote copious amounts of time to scrolling/grinding my character.

That's my motivation basically- to be one of the best. Although lately I've came to the self realization that I get too absorbed into becoming powahful that I lose my cool occasionally over velly stupid stuff :<
The hell levels are painful- especially lvl 55-90 (if you don't have friends who are willing to help you) and lvl 110-120, but don't give up yeah! I've seen you in game that you're lvl 22. It's a fine level- go kpq! And then CPQ from 30-51 :D You should have gained some kind of motivation then :p

Also: in game friends. That was a huge motivation for me pre and post-wipe. When you have pals who are high leveled, you tend to try to grind more so that you can boss/party with them while training. Of course, not to say that comparatively high leveled people can't party with lower levels, but it counts for some kind of motivation. :D I think Syn is a good place to start- the people there (and leaders) are cool- just talk to them and I'm sure they'll motivate you heaps :)

Or you could join Heroes because Synergy is for squares.

Getting levels in this game is all about grinding with friends, watching TV/movies while you play, or massive Skype calls so that nobody even realizes they're grinding anymore. Get in on one or more of those, and the levels fly by. c:

Another solution is this: if you don't feel like getting on to level, don't. Do something else that you feel like doing more. You shouldnt have to force yourself to get on to play a game. At least, that's the tactic I've adopted. Be warned though, you will be thoroughly hazed for being "inactive."

There are many ways for you to make progress with your character's level. If you dont like to grind much then you can, for example, set goals for yourself each day. For example, 1 or 2 levels a day or even a certain percentage in you EXP bar. Or you can simply spend a little amount of time grinding each day so you slowly make your progress.

Other thing is, you could think about what you'd reach eventually. When I think about the 3rd and 4th job skills it makes me more motivated to grind even more, even though the grinding is repetitive and uninteresting. Its what makes Maple Story what it is, because if people were patient enough to reach a higher level(120+ for example) then they obviously realize it was worth their effort.

Theres another thing that might be happening in your case. Perhaps, you are not really enjoying your current character's class anymore? Personally this kind of thing has happened to me in the past, and I couldnt continue with my character because I didnt like the class, so what I did(and what you might want to do) is to stop grinding with it and THINK, what is the class you'd enjoy now at this point of your Mapling?

You also need to pick the right class that you're sure you'll enjoy at all times in some way. For example, this is why Im gonna play a Bandit.....I love all of their skills and I know I wouldnt get bored too quickly with this class.

Hope I helped you! Good luck. Feel free to ask if you have more questions
