Math on this: - makes SI useless for axe heroes - colonian axe becomes faster (3), equal to ST in atk speed. - Dragon Battle axe becomes fast (4), req. 1.12x dmg per hit to deal equivalent DPM to ST. - axe constant still effectively 4.1 colonian: 140,133 req dph / 1.8 = 77,851 before ACA / 5.2 = 14,971 avg range buffed / 0.875 = 17,110 max range / 1.04 = 16,452 range before echo 16,452 = wep atk/100 ((k*str)+dex) 16,452 = (x+100)/100 ((4.1*1260)+104) 3.1218 = (x+100)/100 312 = x+100 212 = x - 52 (peripheral gear) = 160 atk req. on colonian to tie ST on apples Since a perfect colonian is 143 atk, you're basically (143/160 =) 89% as strong as a ST user here dragon battle: 157,956 req dph = 18,544 range before echo 18,544 = wep atk/100 ((k*str)+dex) and 200 atk required on dragon axe to tie ST on apples. since a perfect dragon battle is 150 atk, you're (150/200) = 75% as strong as a ST user here. Feel free to follow the calculations for stoppers/gizers - I dont have time at the moment.
89% isnt too bad, will improving axe mastery above 60% help in those calculations? maybe having a higher min range will make the average a bit bigger?
Those calculations were with your suggested 75% mastery. And I really dont like that your suggestion makes speed infusion useless. In a situation where you have SI available, using the colonian axe you're looking at being 76% as strong as the ST user (on apples) and using the dragon battle axe you're 66% as strong, which is only single digit percentages better than the boat you're in right now.
Yeah you are right but then if they change the attack speed of every weapon will it just automatically change even on scrolled ones? Or will they have to be remade?
im also glad people are getting into this post for us axe users id really appreciate that axe booster and mastery would change but im pretty sure that is more stuff and coding to change that unlike changing the speed on the axe that required that to have a lower dmg gap between sword and axe really happy to see those replys btw
Ok so ive come up with the final suggestion, tell me what you think guys. 1 tomahawk and dragon axe speed change normal --> fast 2 tavar speed change slow --> fast, add DEX requirement 110 (although ST will be definetly stronger, Tavar is more common and cheaper so it can be a good endgame weapon for those who are not so rich and it will balance axes. the stab penalty will still make swords better so no fear for all the ST users that axes will outpower them. @Kobato @tchab @jmmainvi @Michael Cheers IronWill.
Is this something that is still going to happen? If so could the same thing happen to help bring the Dragon Flame up to scratch with the ST?
Why not add the last unwelcome guest axe or VIP axes (lvl 107 ones) just the axes of course as the end game weapons? That would make it somewhat even and they could be gacha only like sky skis maybe from a gacha that is rarely used?
As an axe heroI don't think this is necessary. Would it be nice, sure, but I knew what I was getting into when I made it. If you want a higher damage character just stick to swords.

I guess it'll have to do. Axes look cool as f***, would be a nice addition to the server if they made the change though.
Well, its kinda sad that the gap is that high, it even gets to situations like people dont want axe fighters to join zruns cause they are slow and weak.. I was hoping for some balance here but after all, it is the staff decision, and all we can do is suggest.
