I've got an Intel Core i7 2.6 GHz processor with 16GB of RAM, should I just dedicate more to running VMware?

I have a problem with using VMware, I went HT today and my mule which was on VMware dced cause of graphical glitches e.g. hp bar started disappearing and then I dced, I did gfx when we entered and just noticed the problem right before I dc so didn't try to gfx again.

I'm on windows 8 same with in VMware i'm on windows 8 zak hasn't been any problem at all.

I never dc on my main client so this is strange that VMware causes me problem.

Too bad I missed todays HT, would be nice to see if it happens again, if it does I will probably make a new Vmware with Win XP or maybe Win 7 (tho 7 didn't work for me at zak)
Do you need to use VMware? cause I have never had a problem with running without it, well I don't have a Nvidia graphic card tho.

Has anyone experienced this problem when using "unity", mode basically it just makes the game go into normal window mode it's much easier switching between clients, but... with XP I get this problem.

The sound is still there but everything turns white and I need to close the client, I am on compatibility mode for windows 98/ windows ME

I've had that issue when switching in and out of fullscreen mode inside VMware at previous occasions.

I solved my problem completely, for some reason I was using Vmware workstation (a useless program) instead of the VMware player suggested in the guide ~f3

The problems I had with VMware workstation,

Dc at Zak,Ht with Windows 8, Win 7, Win XP,
In unity mode, Windows XP crashed and I couldn't do anything, just white screen.

When I switched to VMplayer no errors, no dc, no crashes and I used the same XP iso file I already had on my PC.

Possible a bad download/ bad iso file.
    Try downloading from another website.

Are you using VMware or VirtualBox? I ran into this issue when using VirtualBox and couldn't figure out how to avoid it. That's the only reason most of us use VMware now.

Confirmed, Windows 10 and HT don't get along either.

Make sure you have VMwaretools installed and check if you have DirectX 8 or higher installed on the VM (steps towards this can be found in this thread).

Hi Tim, I'm having a strange issue with this, when I first installed VMware + windows xp everything was perfect, I shut it down and opened it up the next day and for some reason i couldnt connect to the internet at all :( I didnt change anything in my network adaptors.

    Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Network Connection in VMware settings is set to NAT: Used to share the host's IP address
