Hi, im iRewinD, i dont have english like native language so... let's go [Comparation] Marksman vs Bowmaster Critical Blow and Sharp Eyes are the same, so, the main differences are: Marksman Bossing = Strafe + Snipe + Frostprey Mobbing = Piercing Arrow + Snipe + Frostprey Crossbow damage formula (range) = MAX = (Dex * 3.6 + Str) * Weapon Attack / 100 MIN = (Dex * 3.6 * 0.9 * Mastery + Str) * Weapon Attack / 100 Remember about crossbow normally have +3 weapon attack than bows, and have scrolls more easy to can, are cheapest, sometimes free, lol. Bowmaster Bossing = Hurricane + Concentrate* + Phoenix Mobbing = Hurricane + Phoenix again, maybe with somes Arrow Bomb / Dragon Breath, but again. Bow damage formula (range) = MAX = (Dex * 3.4 + Str) * Weapon Attack / 100 MIN = (Dex * 3.4 * 0.9 * Mastery + Str) * Weapon Attack / 100 Details - Weapon attack is: any item weapon attack + skills weapon attack + potions OR short buffs, assuming that you can use only one each time. - Your Mastery is 0.1 normally, 0.6 with any Mastery, and 0.9 with Crossbow/Bow Expert. - Concentrate* gives you with 26 weapon attack. So its like Energizers (but have 1 weapon attack below), but only work in 66% (average) of time, so, if you want use in formula, you should use 17,7777 weapon attack. Marksman dont lost Damage Per Minute because of Concentrate, in true, its a positive point. While compensating the average Weapon Attack of Concentrate is 17,77777 and you should raise 30 points in Concentrate also, Marksman can ever use Energizers for 25 weapon attacks, and dont lost 30 skill points. Before anything, i should explain a thing about critical strike: How many more hits you do, more you use it. (Btw, maybe its why of Nexon only use critical when the classes does many hits. Also, when added critical in any class, in next versions, in few time, almost single hit skills, like Blast of Paladins and arrows of Bishops, does alot of hits also) Explanation? Look the first job skills of Archers. Double Shot when level 20: do 2x 130% damage. Arrow Blow also in 20: do 1x 260% damage. Everyone feel about Double Shot be more strong. And its why: Critical bonus damage, only works one time each hit. So, two hits of Double Shot with critical: 130% + 100% damage (Critical Shot level 20, without Sharp Eyes) 130% + 100% damage = 460% damage, when full critical. While Arrow Blow only does 260% + 100% (Critical Shot level 20, without Sharp Eyes) = 360% damage when full critical. Sharp Eyes Criticals Strafe 100% damage 4 times = 400% damage without any Critical. Full Strafe hit with Sharp Eyes 30: 100% + 140% 100% + 140% 100% + 140% 100% + 140% = 960% damage! But we only have 55% chance in each hit, to can +240% damage, so we will use 0.55 (55%) * 140% like addictional damage from criticals, its equal 77% damage, so, Marksmans and Bowmaster with Critical Shot + Sharp Eyes, does +77% average damage when using 100% skill damages. (Curiosity: Without Sharp Eyes, only with Critical Shot, the damage is of 0.40 (40%) * 100% = +40% average damage in all hits.) So, let's go: Marksman DPM Strafe level 30 400% + 77% (Critical) = 708 % average damage per shot. Normal attack speeds with Strafes, are 83 for normal attack speed with Crossbow Booster, and 95 with Fast, but sometimes we will need stop for use Snipe. Stoping exactly 20 times, we will do 63 with normal attack speed, and 75 with fast. Being realists, some less hability Marksmans maybe lost 21~25 attacks, but lets' go calculate with 20. Normal attack speed weapon = 63 Strafes each minute = 44604% average damage. Fast attack speed weapon (all maple crossbows) = 75 Strafes each minute = 95 * 708 = 53100% average damage. Only some crossbows, being Maple Crossbow (level 35), Heckler (level 38), Maple Nishadas (level 64) and Maple Pyrope (level 77) have Fast weapon attack speed, so, be strless is a strong choise. Snipe level 30 (5 seconds cooldown) 20 in one minute, 199.999 damage each, so 3.999.980 damage in one minute. Frosprey level 30 Assuming 1 attack each 3,5 seconds, would be 17,14285714285714 attack per minute. So, 17,14285714285714* 500% = 8571,428571428571% each minute. Full formula So, to know your average damage each minute with Strafe 30, Snipe 30, and Frostprey 30, does it: Normal weapon attack speed: (Range * 44604%) + 3.999.980 + (Range * 8571,428571428571) = Total damage per minute Fast weapon attack speed: (Range * 53100%) + 3.999.980 + (Range * 8571,428571428571) = Total damage per minute For Range, use the formulas in top. Bowmaster DPM Hurricane level 30 100% damage each shot + 77% (Critical) = 177% average damage per shot. Hurricane ever does 500 shots per minute, so also ever will be 8,3333333... shoots each second. So, weapon normal, fast, and slow (i know, dont exist bow slow), will do 500 shots each minute, forever. 500 * 177% = 88.500% damage. Concentrate level 30 +26 weapon for 240 seconds, each 6 minutes. Assuming 6 minutes 360 seconds (6*60), you will have Concentrate in 0,6666666666666667 % of your game (240/360*100). So, 0,6666666666666667 * 26 = 17,33333333333333 average bonus weapon attack for ever. Phoenix level 30 Assuming 1 attack each 3,5 seconds again, would be 17,14285714285714 attack per minute. So, 17,14285714285714* 550% = 9428,571428571427% each minute. Full formula So, to know your average damage each minute with Hurricane 30, and Phoenix 30, does it: Normal or Fast weapon attack speed (dont change): If you want use Concentrate, and not a potion of attack, before use the formula below, you must calculate your range with +17,33333333333333 weapon attack (average of Concentrate). (Range * 88.500%) + (Range * 9428,571428571427) = Total damage per minute For Range, use the formulas in top. Mobbing When mobbing, its easy: One mob? Marksman uses Snipe. When cooldown, will use somes Strafes or just ignore to wait more respawn, and uses your combo. Bowmasters will kill easy with Hurricane. Two mobs? Same thing, but Marksmans cant kill all with Snipe, so, maybe if best wait more respawn. Three - Six Mobs? Marksmans will ever use the combo: Frostprey will frozen everyone, while you use Dragon Breath + Piercing Arrow, when 160+ 1~2 Piercing Arrows can kill Skeles easy. Bowmasters will be more far that can, using Hurricane to no take mob hits. Assuming them ever with 3~6 mobs with Dragons Breath, maybe Marksman are bests when mobbing. Closing Some peoples want the character more strong of the game, but maybe the games are not maked for it. My personal say about: Games are for fun. So, maybe play best a Mage full Strenght with full Charms, than a Marksman/Bowmaster level 200 doing solo Horntail with HP Wash. For any questions, can you whisp me: iRewinD. To jump shoot, you can press jump+attack more fast that can, and to Hurricane walking, is only press Hurricane sometimes while walking. Some of your calculations are wrong. For example, SE adds a hidden 100% base to crits (at least on bm/mm/nl), making max SE give +240% damage on crits at a (40+15)% rate, ie +132%. It's odd that it says +40% damage in the skill window and not +140%. If you have a bm/sniper that's why you literally hit over 3x as much with crits than non crits using strafe/hurricane and se. Additionally your strafe damage is flawed, as an example. Strafe's average damage is 140% per shot with no SE, and 232% with max SE, ie. 560% or 928% ignoring weapon def. (max damage with se is (100 + 240) * 4 = 1360%). Also, I've been told phoenix/frostprey damage is not based on your range, but only that of the skill level. Someone was testing this with/without their bow and it made no difference to the phoenix's dps. A fairly accurate comparison of lategame class dps (using similar level equips) is here: http://royals.ms/forum/threads/how-accurate-is-this-dps-chart.30390/#post-179684 In general if you care about 4th job dps, bm>mm until snipe 30, then mm>bm until a fair bit later (150-170 I'd guess, depending on how good the equips are as snipe/strafe scales a lot less with equips). But if you care about 4th job dps, you probably shouldn't be playing an archer.
The SE part is right, it does give 140% extra crit dmg and not 40% like the skill description says. Phoenix/Frostpray damage is based on your DEX not your range, so having or not a bow will affect it dmg in a negletable amount since bows usually give 0~7 DEX.

Lets go. 1. "SE adds a hidden 100% base to crits" DON'T. Sharp Eyes just add 40%. This another 100% are from Critical Blow, of 1st job. So, if you do 10k without critical, will do 24k, yea. But why? 10k base + 10k from critical blow + 4k from SE = 24k 2. "Also, I've been told phoenix/frostprey damage is not based on your range, but only that of the skill level." Your theory on this is not correct and what was said before is true, I'll give you an example of my tests: With regular attacks I was able to hit 6.7k non crit, With regular attacks and no Sharp Eyes I was able to crit 13.5k (200%), With regular attacks and Sharp Eyes I was able to crit 23k (340%). This concludes that without Sharp Eyes your critical damage is 200% as the critical blow skill states, and that with Sharp Eyes your critical damage becomes 340% as other players have stated before.
I'm afraid this bit of information is completely wrong as well. On our current v62 version of the game Snipe has a cooldown of 10 seconds, not 5. This means that you can only perform 6 snipes per minute which results in 1.2m damage. Even if the cooldown was 5 seconds as you claimed it to be, a minute holds 60 seconds and not 100 (20x5 =100).
Informations about cooldown 5 seconds were from hidden-street (http://bbb.hidden-street.net/character/class/marksman), that probable be in some versions above. I will write these parts. Thank you so much.
If I am not wrong, for the current version, snipe cd is at 10 sec. It will, however, change to 5 sec cd when they change to the new source. When that will happen, no one knows.
