Hello Tim. May I ask what this is based on and what is the reason to think that we're sharing our accounts? There must be some kind of mistake, since me and my brother have never used the same account. Thanks in advance.
You and your brother alternate logins between multiple computers (and VMware on Experience from time to time) which is fairly normal at first sight however there's been a lot of concern about you using your brother's identity to gain an unfair advantage. You yourself mentioned on the forums that he's very busy irl working 6 days a week and only playing when he can, yet nearly every time after a server check that you manage to be online on has his account following up a login around 5 minutes later on the same IP (at home). On some occasions (like today) you even seem to be logging on Experience with VMware but alternate between DeanGrayson (Your account) and Offensive (Your brother's account) on the same MAC address in less than 5 minutes between their login times. There are a lot of cases like this, where it appears that one of you is resetting stores/going gachapon on both of your accounts with barely any time in between in the middle of a weekday where your brother's most likely at work. This leads me to believe that you are playing on Offensive and using your brother's identity to get twice as much NX (since you're whitelisted) and a FM store to gain an unfair advantage.
I am aware that there have been concerns among players and now that I find out - among Staff too. However I still assert that I am NOT sharing any accounts with my brother. Yes we are playing on different computers at home (for example one day it happens that I'm playing on my mother's computer and one the other day - he is). Unfortunately, we are forced to use the same room, since all the 3 computers (My mom's, my brother's and my PERSONAL laptop) have the best access to internet only in that one room (too slow in the others). So yes - we tend to move from one computer to another (which I find in no way wrong, since many are actually forced to use only one computer with their siblings). I can give many reasons as to why we do that but I'll just give a few: My laptop is pretty slow. It's not the best device to play MapleRoyals on. My brother's or my mother's however has no problem with MapleRoyals and thus I tend to HT/do other stuff on either of the two. Our room has only one bed. Since my brother has different shifts and comes tired from work and has no studies/further work, I am forced to leave the bed for him to rest (I usually play on my laptop in my bed but when my brother is at home I leave him to watch TV or movies on my mother's computer [better view, easier to move the desk] while I use the other one, sometimes accompanied with my laptop. Someone from the house wants to watch a movie on my laptop in the other room, I am forced to play on either my mom's computer or my brother's. Though you can also check that my brother hasn't logged in on my laptop (aka using his account, "Offensive") AT ALL. If you double check you can see that "Offensive" and "Regality"/"Experience"/"DeanGrayson" have NEVER used the same device to play in the same time (For example - use 2 accounts with different ownership through VMWare/Sandboxie) Yes my brother works (4-8 hours) and he gets one free day to do whatever he wants. Going to work however doesn't mean that he's not home most of the time. You can be busy AND at home in the meantime lol. Sometimes he continues his work, studies at home but that doesn't mean he couldn't be present whenever I ask him to? Whenever he doesn't have anything urgent he would come and bother with MapleRoyals (E.G: Server check in 15 minutes, goes to other room, shouts: "bro there is a servercheck soon, come and grab a spot") and I see nothing weird in that either. I haven't logged on VMware for atleast 9 days so there must be a mistake . The case today was the following one: Right after the server was up (It says it's resetting when you try to log in) I got prepared on my laptop and one of the computers to potentialy grab two various spots (One of the accounts was Regality's and the other one was DeanGrayson's [both my personal ones]. When I could finally log in I managed to grab a spot on Regality but not on DeanGrayson because it threw me out of the server, which usually happens when you press the button TOO many times so I figured out it's something normal. I closed the message, ran the client again but same thing happened, which was suspicious at the time but I thought it may be a coincidence. I did it again for the THIRD time, same thing. Then I figured out that something was wrong. I called my brother from his room, where he was as usually studying to come and check if he will get the same issue on his character and he said he'll be here in 2 minutes. He tried logging on his account but same thing appeared ("You have been disconnected from the server") and then I knew something was wrong since it's not only my account (DeanGrayson) that couldn't log in. Then I made this thread. I can see how this can be confusing for you and how it seems in your eyes without me giving you any information. However, I think this ban is unfair now that I've stated my point, trying to explain and refute your beliefs you that I indeed play legitimately. I tried to be as detailed as possible so that there won't be any missunderstandings but if you didn't understand something I am willing to try and explain it better/give information. If it is needed, I also can ask my brother if he wants to add anything to the case (At this post, or make a video if this is more comfortable for you) right away but once again he doesn't speak English very well so I thought that it'd be easier for me to clarify things. As much as I want to argue about that one, since I just didn't feel like explaining the whole sitatuion to this guy... it's a "believable claim" so at this point I'll agree that the ban is fair.
