The lack of extra EXP events, and EXP coupons that could be given as prizes for events. It would be awesome to have a Happy Hour every week day, at a certain time, in which EXP rate becomes x6 or x8.
The quest glitch and how NO ONE reads the scrolling yellow message that teaches them how to fix it. Instead, seems like people CC and destroy the spawn in every channel.
You know I lub you GMs with all my heart, and I truly appreciate the friendship I have with a few of you. But seriously. Personal GM smegas are not even remotely okay. It is not okay for GMs to be having personal back-and-forth conversations through smegas/GM notifications sent to all players. I know it's all done with good intentions, but I hope you can realize how discouraging it is to new players without a friend on the server already. It perpetuates the notion of there being cliques among the older players and GMs, making new players feel alienated, feeling as if they cannot 'catch up' socially, thinking that it would be very difficult for them to be integrated into an already tightnit community. We have already seen forums posts and players in-game quitting or thinking about quitting because they feel as though they can't find their place, and we have players who believe that certain players get special treatment from GMs. Most of us know that this is not true. Most of the older players are extremely welcoming of new players, getting them involved in group Skype calls at any time of day. Guilds here fight for new members, rather than having a social hierarchy with 'elite' guilds and 'non-elite' ones. But to a new player, seeing that white GM chat with a personal shoutout, rather than a message to everyone, only alienates those who do not know any of the people involved since GMs are perceived to be "above" the average player. Having a GM white text, "How's everyone's day going?" builds a sense of welcome, indicating that the GM does not see themselves as having more importance that anyone else. Having a GM white text, "Charlie where are youuuuu" only is fun for those who know Charlie or the GM, and makes players who know neither feel lonelier, as certain players have special connections to those with perceived power while the new player does not. There are certain privileges that GMs must give up, and this should be one of them. GMs are already not allowed to add people to their buddy list and this behavior should be not allowed for very similar reasons. GMs can easily whisper or just smega on their own character. When you remove the power aspect associated by the GM white text, there is no reason for the new player to feel as though there is a social hierarchy. Just my 2 meso. There are ways for GMs to build stronger communities, and ways that GMs can weaken them.
I agree with him. I saw this happening alot, and although it never really bothered me I was never happy to see it either. In a general sense, this community needs to be more open and friendly to new players. Ive seen various incidents in FM and other areas where the old players are being rude towards the new players, and refusing to help them in a brutal kind of way, like "go get mesos/items yourself", "stop begging like an idiot" etc etc. Come on guys, is this how YOU would want to be treated if you were a new player?
Just pointing out that you seem to do this on every server you join. 1) Making polls 2) Talk about quitting and make dozens of leaving threads 3) Whine a lot 4) Get banned/quit. This includes DMS CMS and Royals.
1)Whats wrong with making polls? 2)Whats wrong with talking about quitting? And whats wrong with creating leaving threads? 3) I simply state my opinion, how the hell is this whining? 4) Alot of people have got banned/quitted, how is this wrong/different in my case? And why are you posting this publicly? Do you really think everyone here needs to know about this?
Can't be nothing much for people to be bothered about, considering it's a V62. and it is in top 10 each week so i see, vast improvement since the last day i played to be honest. these types of threads have always been pointless, if you really dislike something so much about a server then why be on it, move on and do not get a leaky anus over so much butthurt.
I just dont understand why guys like maggles and others have to take things like this to the public forum. I mean, what gives them the right to do this, this is just downright rude.
One very obvious reason, to feel superior, have power, and privileges. 1 out of 10 applications has a serious person who really wants to look out for the community, someone who looks out for the community, has respect, and responsibility even before becomming a GM.
