Character Name: Betrayer Last thing you did: ..Not sure attacking Jr Celions Why do you think you got banned?: I assume I got banned for my friend's SMEGA while playing in my household. We were three friends who just started on this server, my charater names are: Betrayer and Defiler. My friend 'Svanen" wanted to joke around with a SMEGA basicly he wanted people to whisper my other friend "Niqqerino". We were all three logged in at the same time doing different things, when suddenly we all get disconnected, and my friend told me he got banned for posting a SMEGA. I understand that offensive language in a global chat is not acceptable, but in this case it was the character name. I guess my friend doesn't find things like that offensive and named his character that, while not having been told by anyone to change it, nor been approached by any sort of Admin or offended person. The SMEGA was 'solely' directed to give him 'the person' attention, not to imply anything offensive with the name that followed. In my opinion the ban is wrong, that could've happened to anyone(not knowing an autoban could happen for merely directing to the person) who maybe wanted to direct people to my friend with the name. You replied on the other thread without actually helping out for an autoban for merely directing. Nothing here on this thread, until this wow.
Do you seriously think we're in a wrong here? Why does it matter that I made the account before appealing? It's not like I even touched the account for any reason before actually writing the appeal. I assumed it was an IP ban, hence all 3 of us got banned for 1 thing my friend did in a SMEGA? I tried to make a new account, and surprised it was actually not an IP ban. We're 3 perfectly honest players, we grinded in the last 2 days for approximately 14+ hours. Just good old, nothing fancy killing mobs in a party of 3. I seriously dont understand why this ban is even treated like one, it was an AUTOBAN for merely mentioning another characters name. Isn't it slightly wrong, that my friend even was allowed to create the character with that name, if you can get autobanned for mentioning it in global, may I also say that it is spelled with 2 qs. and "rino", I dont tbh even understand why "Niqqerino" is filtered to an autoban for saying it. There is just one thing that really really confuses me, why we're treated like we actually did something wrong, I assume you have logs of many things after surfing around the forum for a bit, can't you see we are honest players? We started 2 days ago and leveled 1-35 twice pure hours of honest grinding. You can tell we haven't done anything wrong, or abused any kind of mechanic, heck I guess you even have a complete chat log for both our chars. We literally just started on this server, and just wants to feel nostalgic, this is a really unfortunate welcome we've gotten to the server, while not really being toxic or anything to the community. I accept that ban-dodging is a bad thing, but we honestly thought it was such a weird ban, it wasn't really counted as one, as you left my friends thread and mine stay unreplied and open for quite some time. But I guess we were too impatient, as the first and only reply told us we shouldve waited :/ EDIT: Oh and btw, I'm pretty sure I waited before making the second account until after my friend made his appeal for us, this was before we even knew we were all banned. We could even stay logged in, after my friend got banned for the smega. Logged out, and bam all 3. I thought my friend's(the guy that actually did the SMEGA) appeal would be enough. I tbh thought we would get unbanned for this. I apologize for thinking so, I really dont understand why this feels like we hacked or botted or something. Feels so heavy, even when all he did was mention a character name x_x EDITEDIT: After all this I keep thinking, an offensive SMEGA is something, but that isnt even the case regarding this autoban. Its all so very very sad and confusing I literally feel like were trying so hard to appeal for a ban that shouldnt even have happened.
