[21 BILLION Mesos Giveaway/Event] Chance's Birthday/Farewell Bonanza! <3

This will be my final Player-Hosted Event hence I'll be giving all that I got on this one!

Remember Grand Quest Tournament? 5 Seasons, where each month a player walks off with a whopping sum of 1,000,000,000 mesos (amongst other prizes).

Now here's something even bigger! Imagine 20 Seasons of Tournament, all in one!
This Event involves 21,000,000,000 mesos. That's right, 21 BILLION of PURE mesos, all given out in ONE event!

I recently turned 21 (on the 28th of July), and had a blast celebrating it with my friends and family. We celebrated and dined inside S.E.A Aquarium; Second Largest Oceanarium in the world (I'm just really fascinated by marine life ). Also, here's a picture of my cake!

But anyways, getting back on point! I have been rather inactive in-game over the past couple weeks due to irl commitments. Thought I had it all figured out to still enable me to play the game, but my irl commitments and goals have been changing lately to a point where I feel like it's time for me to quit playing Royals entirely. I'll definitely be active around here at the Forums since its easily accessible on my Phone from wherever I'm at, but to actually log into the game and play, that'll stop as soon as I'm done with this Event; my final day in-game. I'll make a proper thread when the time for farewell comes!

Since I don't see myself actually playing the game anymore, I figured i'd host an Event to give away my wealth, and that's how this came about!

There are so many different ways I can distribute this 21b or structure the Event, and after some thoughts I've decided to make the Event simple enough (in structure) such that I'm able to host it easily all by myself; which allows for my friends/buddies and guild mates to participate and have their attempt at winning something as well. Also, I've decided to make the prize-pool equally distributed and not turn this into a Competition or Tournament to fight for the 1st/2nd/3rd place (This is meant to be a celebration after all!).

As such, the 21 Billion mesos will be divided across 21 Winners, each winning themselves 1 Billion Mesos!

There are also Consolation Prizes in store for those that come in at 22nd to 50th Place

Note:
- Consolation Prize Sets are not listed in any particular order whatsoever

- These sets are open (or rather, made) for those that participate and come in after 21 Winners have already won all of the mesos

- The items here are not given out in any order, every winner (after 21st) gets to select whichever Set of Items they please, priority in selection is given to those that come before others (22nd place gets first pick, 23rd place gets second pick, and so on)

- All item(s) of a particular Set are given as a whole (hence, a 'set')

- There are a total of 21 different Sets, however some Sets have multiple quantities, leading to 29 Sets in total.

This means there's enough prizes for up to 50 people! (21 Players winning 1 billion each, while 29 others win the items below!)

So how exactly is this Event going to work?

The Event will be split into 2 parts; (Part 1) Forums & (Part 2) In-Game.



At the exact time and day of the Event (6pm Server Time, 29th August, Saturday) I will be making a new post here (as well as updating it into Post #3 for easier viewing) with the following information:

- A series of images of various Monster's ETCs
- A series of numbers alongside each of the image (used for Part 2)
- A rather simple statement/question/clue (used for Part 2)

For Part 1 of the Event, all you will have to do is make a response post here in this thread, attempting to find out the names of the ETCs presented to you. Spelling matters (caps not necessary) and posts should be made in proper format (will be provided alongside Event Post for easy copy-paste).


Rules:
- You may not edit your post once it has been posted.
If I see that your post has been edited (it'll show anyways!) your post will be disqualified. In the event that you realize you've made a mistake after publishing your post (no matter how long it's been), you may delete your post and re-post with the corrected version (at the risk of other Players having posted correctly before you or not getting your entry accepted as the time limit's up). So please verify your answers before hitting 'Post Reply'!

- You only have 21 Minutes (starting from my post) to make your entry. You may still post after, however I will not be counting them unless I have room for more winners (in the event that I have less than 21 correct entries within the time limit).






As soon as you've made your forum entry, you can get in-game and hunt for the ETCs that you have just listed on your post, with the appropriate quantity for each ETC (they will be listed clearly on my Event Post). When you've gathered all the necessary ETCs, you will have to locate my mule character in-game based on the clue given to you on my Event Post (in the form of a statement/question). Upon locating me, simply type 'I'm here' in All Chat and provide me with your forum name. I will then verify your ETCs and check that you have completed your Forum Post correctly as well as in time, and if everything checks out you win yourself 1 Billion mesos!

Part 2 is basically Scavenger Hunt; using the material provided from Part 1 and only involving 1 Station.
*Part 1 should be completed first before proceeding to hunting!


Note:
- You're free to move about in any Channel throughout your hunting process, however for the final location I will be at Channel 4.

- I'm not going to be facilitating the Scavenger Hunt like I did for Grand Quest Tournament.
How you get your items is entirely up to you, what matters is you find your way to the end map with the correct items, and have the correct answers in your forum submission (and be the overall first 21 to do so of course!). Just keep in mind that this isn't a real race to be the first; whether you come in 1st or 21st you get the same prize.

If you've tried your best and find yourself coming in after 21 Players have already won, then I hope that you've at least had fun participating and I'll try to have some consolation prizes for you (in the form of items). No guarantees though!






For those of you who are still confused as to how the Event works (I hope I didn't complicate it too much with my wording), here's an Example!


(Part 1) Make a post on this thread as follows:

and then head on in-game, (Part 2) start hunting for the 5 items, 15/20/20/20/15 of each as shown above. Once that's done, make your way to the end location using the clue given above; the answer in this case being Marr's Forest (hidden portal from Ellinia). If you're amongst the first 21 people to reach this location, have the correct items hunted and a correct forum entry in this thread, you win 1,000,000,000 mesos! It's that simple!


Things you can expect for the actual Event:

- The ETCs you have to hunt will be located all around the world of Maple (excluding Omega Sector - because aint nobody gonna climb down that tower!) limited to lower level monsters only (<Level 70).

- The Quantity for each ETC will be around 20, don't worry you won't be required to hunt 50 or 100 of an ETC.

- The Number of ETCs presented will be around 20 as well (I only used 5 as an example above).

- The Clue/Statement/Question will be rather straight-forward as well (maybe not like the one presented in the example, but believe me it'll be simple enough yet a little tricky! )

Date: 29th August (Saturday)
Time: 6pm GMT+1 (Server Time)
*You can check the Server Time at our Forums and Web Page, or using the ~servertime command in-game
**This means my Event Post will be made in this Thread at exactly 6pm Server Time and you will have up to 6:21pm Server Time to finish up your Part 1 Entries before locating my Character with the appropriate items for 1,000,000,000 Mesos!



Q&A

Why is there a time limit for Part 1?
The whole idea of having a time limit for Part 1 is so that Players do not go about hunting first and 'waiting for answers' to pop up in the forums to copy-paste later. Sure, players could still copy one another, with the risk of getting it wrong when the person they copied from makes a mistake as well. Anyways it makes no difference whatsoever if you post the correct answer within the first 5 minutes or on the 20th minute. If you think you have the right answer and don't want people copying you, you're more the welcomed to form your answer and carry out the hunting bit, coming back to post it here at the 20th Minute (as long as it's posted in time it's all good!)

What if I submitted my Forum Entry correctly but after 21 Minutes and still made it to your final location before 21 Players have won?
Ideally, I'd give a certain time frame for those that submitted their correct answers here before the time limit to find me at the end location first before allowing/accepting those who have made a late entry win the prize. I'll make this time frame 21 minutes from the time the First Player wins.
So given that my Event begins at 6pm (Part 1), let say the first winner comes to the end location in-game at 7:30pm. That would mean until 7:51pm, I will only be accepting those who have made a correct forum post before 6:21pm, before entertaining anyone else after.

What kind of places can I expect to go and hunt ETCs?
Pretty much anywhere around the World of Maple with an exception for Areas/Map with Monsters above Level 70! Therefore you're encouraged to be at least Level 80, to have a better experience throughout this Scavenger Hunt. I've already excluded Omega Sector, so apart from that, all else is open!

Hey! This is an awesome event you've got planned.

Totally understand where you're coming from. Sometimes, when you need to switch focus on priorities, you don't want anything to hold you back, even if it's sad to give up something you're attached to. I'm sure my time will come as well.

I never really met you in game and I definitely don't know you in person, but I feel like I've gotten to know a little bit about you through your various posts which I've enjoyed reading.

You've worked hard; it paid off. You've been a great asset to the community, and I'm sure, to the staff team.

What I respect the most about you is your ability to grind so well. I think it's very unique. You can be successful in whatever you want to do if you can apply that gift of yours.

Thanks for the inspiration, and for the guides, help, and just all the time you've put into the server and community.
