My point is that there WERE GMs on and they WERE handling the situation. You claim that "any GM would leave what they were doing" but you do not know that as a fact. What I DO know as a fact was that they were on the entire time, were aware of this person, and dealt with the problem ASAP.

The point I'm trying to get across to people is that, although many people do not think so (not necessarily you), the GMs and Admins are doing their job. Just because they are not helping you at the moment, just because you do not see them on, and just because they may not be able to respond to your ~gm request does not mean that they are not on helping others. People need to stop making assumptions on how easy something is to do and how quickly they should be done. As hard as it is, you simply need to trust that those who have been running the server for years know what they are doing with the server.

And I don't believe that the OP is "kissing ass." I think he, like A LOT of the community, is just tired of these ingrateful people bitching and moaning at the GMs all day and finally decided to call them out on it.

Yeah i agree those people should be called out on their BS. there are alot of people who are immature and don't understand that their "big issue" is actually very minor compared to other things that needs to be taken care of.
but calling out those people achieves nothing, as people are going to continue to be stupid. it's just like a customer service job.
if i tried to educate customers, i'd get nowhere, i'd end up being frustrated even more.
you will never educate all the players. and yes, both you and OP are kissing the staff's ass as if there was a loud voice to get more GMs from the community, the staff would be pressured to find solutions faster, as their goal is to make the experience better and increase the amount of concurrent players.

On another note, do you see my previous 2 posts? the one which you replied to, and the one which i posted the pictures with the hacker. I currently do not.

@techno077 Excuse me? How exactly am I being a kiss-ass? In the first post, I addressed how GMs are constantly flooded with a work load and that sometimes they may or may not have enough time to deal with the sheer amount of ~gm they receive. If calling out the people who are ignorant of how hard working these GMs really are labels me as a "kiss ass", that's pretty astonishing. And you know what? Yes, maybe these GMs do need some appreciation. Hardly do I ever see a piece of text that thanks these people for their effort into this server.

Also, keep in mind that simply grabbing people from the community and putting them in a GM position is not a particularly good idea. I even acknowledged that I know the sheer amount it takes into selecting a GM. So please, be more open minded of what I'm actually saying before shouting a derogatory name at me.

GMS does suck tho. That's why we play a private server.

.... You making a thread about people complaining about GMs will just make people complain more. It's really no help, it's just going to make a flame war on this thread =/
    but it's an admirable effort!

    Through donations.
It's simple. You have to make MapleRoyals a real business. MapleRoyals provides a service to its customers for free and is run on donations. However obviously these donations will probably not be enough to pay GMs an actual hourly rate on a full time basis. MapleRoyals must either have an extremely large fan base in which is small donating percentage can fund the server and its employees, or have other ways of drawing in real amounts of revenue. None of these methods are pleasing for its customers. It's a cycle here. Customers don't want to pay, this server is free to play which is due to the good will of the owner. Because of this it is not realistic for a server that draws in little revenue to have good employees that provide sufficient service to all of its users.
So to xelabela or whoever started GM complaints: get over it. The GM is not paid well nor is bound by contract to help the players. The fact that the GM is helping at all is a great service to the server. You are playing on a free server of which provides a great service by giving players a nostalgic maplestory and caters to nonpaying customers especially. You can not expect this to be run like a normal business or a funded program of which it can cater to everyone's needs 100% of the time.
Be grateful and happy that this server exists. If you want something to change than the very least you can do is donate. And even that is not a guarantee.
