Recently, I had switched from my Shadower to my Pally. I had bought a ST, thinking it would be better, but I'm thinking more on the BW side as of now (Crushed Skull + Shield wise). If anyone can compare the 2, that would be great, because I'm debating between 2h Sword (DC) or CS and Shield
Even though Crushed Skull is the best BW, it can only be better than ST when you have SI. Also, 1h Paladin kind of sucks: Edit: wait you were in that thread. What are you trying to figure out then?
I recently mained my paladin again , and honestly , I saw a perfect CS so I had a thought in mind of which could technically be better LOL
From my own calculations, with a perfect weapon and shield (and other end game gear), ST > CS by ~5% without SI, and CS > ST by ~4% with SI. You can try plugging numbers into this DPS calc, though I can't say whether they're accurate or not.
Ahh I thought the ST was better in all situations, as a pally. Just that CS is a tad weaker than swords with SI. Is a perfect claymore the best weapon with SI? o.o
I generally think that CS is worse that ST because of the 1h disadvantages, but the CS can take a damage advantage depending on your other gear. And yeah, Dragon Claymore is the strongest weapon with for Paladins (and Heroes), because it still gets boosted to the attack speed cap. At that point you just pick the weapon that gives you the highest range. The damages between these three are pretty close for energizers or worse, but with heartstoppers or apples, the 2h will typically be stronger.
