For some reason, I get randomly dc-ed (with either error 38 or Invalid Pointer) going into the first/second job advance places (Warriors Sanctuary, Perion; Thieves Hideout, Kerning) and Orbis pot shop. This doesn't happen every time, just sometimes, and I can't quite figure out a pattern. Ooops, sorry, wrong place, please move to bug reporting! >_<
Happend to me when i was doing 3rd job adv few days ago...i dont remember any server that doesnt have this bug tho...
Yes, happens in all the 1st job instructor maps, taking cab/using town-specific scroll to Henesys (pretty much any warp to Henesys will sometimes DC you, like leaving the "Congratulation map" you sometimes get to when finishing an event). Not all the time, but I haven't noticed a pattern either. Just tends to happen when you've been on for a while.
I've searched hard for a pattern and haven't been able to find one yet. It doesn't seem to matter if you're at full hp/mp or not, if you've just levelled, if you've got buffs on or not, if you've got your pet out or not, or even how long you've been logged in for. Only thing I can really add here is that Perion pot shop seems to be really prone to these random d/cs, too.
A pattern that I have noticed is that map you are entering has an NPC on it with a lightbulb /completed quest above them.
Nice work, Matt! That would explain Perion and Orbis pot shops giving this problem, then! If this is the cause of the problem, then theoretically, Maya's House in Henesys and Niora Hospital in Kerning (amongst others) ought to give the same problem, too.
