Hello Guys, I'd like your opinion on what the best way to use a HS mule is. Here's the situation/what I found out: I'm training my lvl 100+ character, and a priest lvl 82. (max HS) With just these 2 people in party at WS I get 120% exp on my Bowman. (58xx > 4800) and the priest also gets exp (+2k) for every kill. If I train at ULU2, the priest does not get any exp, so the Bowman gets all. But this is only 110% (11000 > 10000 (from the worm-ish monsters)). Considering this info I could better let the mage leech experience in order for the other partymember to benefit the most as well. Things that I have not yet tested/or that im not sure about are: - Does training with more than 2 people in the party change the exp gain (percentage wise) in any way ? (apart from the fact that each person will get less exp per kill) - Does the level difference between the partymembers have any effect on the exp gain? - How exactly is the exp ratio/bonus/... calculated Anyways let me know what your opinion and/or suggestions are: thank you,
Yes, but very slightly more. I think the total XP percentage is around 180. Yes. The higher the level your party members are, the less XP the leecher i.e. the person using Holy Symbol, the less XP that person will receive I'm not 100% on parties over two, but for parties with just two people, it's (Leech Level/Total Party Level) * 1.2 * Monster XP. This number doesn't go beyond 60%. If you're using Holy Symbol, multiply the result by 1.5.
Ok, thanks, About the last point, if I calculate this for Wolf spiders, with a lvl 83 and 105. - from 83s perspective: ((83/188)*1,2*4800)*1,5 = 3815 exp - from 105s perspective: ((105/188)*1,2*4800)*1,5 = 4825 exp Though the exp I am getting is not the same, it's 2542 and 5760. Anyways I'm not really interested in the formula's. it's more about finding the best way to use the HS in party. Should I go with a bigger party to higher lvl monsters or would it be better to stick to places the priest can leech exp too. I'm going to test training at ULU2 with 2 attackers + HS to see if I'll get more exp than 10%. because I think the party is considered a single person party as the priest isn't high enough in lvl. Therefore the percentage gain from HS is lowered, just as if you would be solo-ing with the priest. Since a partyless priest does't get full 150% experience neither.
Sorry, the formula is suppose to be (Leech Level/Total Party Level) * Monster XP * 1.2, not 1.2 first. If you're by yourself, you only get 110% from Holy Symbol, but if your Priest can leech off the monsters that you're fighting, you'll get 120%. If you're looking to gain the absolute most XP from 2 attackers, have the Priest cast HS and if the Priest is able to leech off the monsters you're fighting, expel or leave the party on the Priest. That way, 170% of the monster XP will be split between the 2 attackers, ensuring maximum XP gain for a single attacker.
Update: I tested with a party of 3 (2 attckers + HSmule lvl 83) at ULU2. So the priest does not get any experience, and the other characters get 120% + all exp the other partymember kills. Therefore training with 2 attackers + HSmule that does not meet the lvl requirement is the better way to go.
