I haven't played Maple in a long time and I made a cleric on here. At level 30, I put 1 SP into heal and tried going to Zombie Mushrooms as recommended in many guides since your heal does damage to undead. Upon attacking, all I hit was 1 dmg every time with Heal. I figured it was just the level of my heal so I trained at teddy's 30-35 to level my heal up before moving on to another undead mob. At 35, it was recommended I went to Cronos/Platoons so I did and I'm only hitting them for like 12-100 dmg max. It seems like something is wrong. Am I the only one experiencing this? I'm using all up-to-date gear for my level including a scrolled Maple Staff.
Heal Damage: MAX = (INT * 1.2 + LUK) * Magic / 1000 * Target Multiplier MIN = (INT * 0.3 + LUK) * Magic / 1000 * Target Multiplier The % listed in the skill description (300% at max) acts as the skill percent Heal Target Multiplier: 1.5 + 5/(number of targets including yourself) For reference- 1 - 6.5 2 - 4.0 3 - 3.166 4 - 2.75 5 - 2.5 6 - 2.333 Credits to @FruitShopOwner Dmg seems fine to me tho.
Btw , you said that you wear a gear for your lvl which means that you raise your ap on luk too .. This thing makes you weaker and your dmg is not going high fast(when you raise points on luk you lose int =lose dmg)
Heh, a credit chain yanyan -> FruitShopOwner -> ayumilove -> Russt Makes me think about how, when an invention or discovery is attributed to someone, that person might not have been the true inventor, or the first to invent or discover it. I've heard things about Thomas Edison... That's not completely the case - LUK increases damage for pretty much every spell, including heal, though not as much as INT (I've put it around a third or so of the value of INT)
IS this a unique formula for mapleroyals or how it's always been in Maplestory? I seem to remember doing much more back in the day. I could be wrong though. Thanks for the info "Btw , you said that you wear a gear for your lvl which means that you raise your ap on luk too .. This thing makes you weaker and your dmg is not going high fast(when you raise points on luk you lose int =lose dmg)" I understand that much, but the gear I'm wearing is level 30 and below and Im at a base luk of 20 with some other luk items to allow me to wear them for now. I don't plan on adding anymore luk from now on. Just still seems kinda low to me... I dunno.
Ok good to know, thank you. Maybe im just used to the damage in higher revs of maple. I guess Ill just wait until I have heal maxed to kill undeads.
You're still losing damage either way by raising LUK over Int. Not only because Int is worth more in the magic formula especially the more you have, but because it increases Magic, so the statement itself is quite accurate, and putting it at the a 3rd of the value of INT is also overstating it due to the fact that Int increase is x1.2 compared to x1 bonus that Luk gives while doing nothing for your total magic. Also that formula is just for heal. The notion that LUK effects damage for other spells(other than preventing you from doing more damage) is false. The true magic damage formula for all spells aside from Heal is: Spell Damage: MAX = ((MagicĀ²/1000 + Magic)/30 + INT/200) * Spell Attack MIN = ((MagicĀ²/1000 + Magic * Mastery * 0.9)/30 + INT/200) * Spell Attack Source: https://ayumilovemaple.wordpress.com/?s=magician+damage+formula
