    Dear Maplors.

As of today, I am a lv64 assassin, with 25base dex and I purely use LUK equipments. Now I have been wondering, as I just cannot imagine a lv10x or so with low dex (say, 80 or 90 base) and a decent craven, would not outdamage a lv10x dexless who still uses a, lets say 55atk Skanda.

Is this true? Should I just pump full dex for like 11 or 13 levels to get 80 or 90 base dex?

    Thanks if someone can help!

Hermits last the longest using maple weapons - until around 120 or so.

The general rule that i'm remembering off the top of my head is to consider that after lv 100, 1 weapon atk = ~4 luk for hermits/NL. So figure out how much dex you would need to add, add in the amount of luk you would lose by taking off your luk equips, and divide by 4. If you can gain that much WA or more by switching from skanda to craven, then you should make the switch. If not, stay dexless a bit longer.

But I also have to take in consideration all the extra LUK and DEX I could get from using lv80 top and bottom, shoes, hat, etcetera.

Equips tend to be fairly even between the stats. If you've made a 20 luk overall, you should be able to make a 20 dex overall as well. Top/bottom combinations work better than overalls do in general; try to (using Legendary Spirit or a higher leveled friend) make some of the equips you'll be using later. Don't actually make the switch until, like Feather said, you meet the criteria.

[(Your current +LUK from equips) - (Your new +LUK from equips)] + [(DEX required for claw of choice - 25 base DEX - DEX from new equips)] / 4

If that number is higher than the attack difference between your Skanda and new claw, then don't do it yet, keep improving your new equips. If that number is lower, then you're ready to take the plunge.

No end-game NL uses a Skanda and LUK equips. You will eventually have to make the switch; it's not as hard as it seems.

Mark can stay dexless as long as he'd like; at one point or another, he'll hit a wall that the lowdex NLs can pass. Doesn't make him any less awesome, though.

As soon as you're able to acquire a zhelm and scroll a top/bot (especially in this server, since you can get regular equips with crazy stats), you're better off ditching the skanda. You should also be able to endgame with MUCH less than 80 base dex. I remember nearly every sin using a fury with 25 base dex back in the day. The fact that FS are easily obtainable (versus scrolling shoes for jump) may set you back a bit, but you should still be able to keep it fairly low.

In GMS I started adding dex at Level 51 because I did not have the funds to continue being dexless. Stay dexless if you think you can afford it, but low-dex is no doubt more cost effective.

Low-dex is even more expensive to be honest, but okay.

That being said, low-dex will eventually be a better choice than dexless; but not until way later than level 64. Stay dexless until at least 120 (or 100 if you already have good funding and nice low-dex equips and a craycray Craven)
