Would you ever want to see leech nerfed/gone from the server?

Wait how exactly can a full ap reset wash a level 200 character? Could you explain fully? I am not too sure how HP wash works. I thought you needed to take out of mp to place into your main stat?

BTW this post ^^^ is brilliant. Absolutely on point.

People do not want train a lvl 120 NL and realize that their character is completely screwed by not being able to boss. And that their only alternative is to make a bishop to leech.
I really hope something gets done about this, otherwise, all 120+ characters not bishops will lose all motivation to continue leveling.

Please believe me GMs when I say leech / MP wash is toxic for the server and is causing a lot of casual players to want to stop playing the game. I am not raging for no reason or looking for my nostalgic fix. I want to truly improve and expand this incredible server.

I am being 100% honest, EVERYONE will have a better social / gaming experience if leeching is removed / nerfed.

I got banned before because I was begging to party with a bishop yes.
The bishop was GRINDING SOLO and refused to party with me when I can hb and they get can MORE exp with HS and me killing (I was not asking to leech but to party). By her logic, I wasn't paying her for leech. This is really sad. Is that what Maplestory has come to? People refusing to party because they have a bishop that can rather sell leech for 50m / hour.

But I could be wrong. Maybe leech is actually good for the server. Maybe leech appeals to efficient, hard working / independent grinding players like Plenty. Or maybe it appeals to high level bossing end-game characters which only a few select players can achieve.

It certainly doesn't appeal to me.

there, could you kindly explain how we are "abusing" it.
in regards to "unbalance" , indeed the game is unbalance, bishop have high AOE skill , but many others have high DPS , or some may not be as good as others, So, because it is unbalance, do the other jobs needs to be nerfed as well? Let's make every job have similar characteristic , because it's unbalance.

So you were against leeching but then you begged a bishop to party with you ? Nevermind, but simply because she rejected you, is it wrong ? Does everyone in the server play in a way that pleases you ?

IMO, no nerf is need to be made, If any changes were to be made to leech , remove 4th job. The issue arises on how the game is made. Yes , it is imbalanced , every jobs have its advantages and disadvantages , the jobs in maplestory are meant to work with each other like how players do in boss runs, providing buffs and such , in regards to Mages , they being the main attacker while grinding, they can party up many members of other job to train together , leeching is just what players chose to do.

If the game is made this way , you make up for it , not whining and wanting the game to change to how it will suit you.

I (like many others outside the forum, I assume) don't enjoy playing as much when the majority of the server/my bl/friends/guild are leeching and the fact that leeching is necessary for PB and HT. It's that simple.

I never remembered it like this back in GMS 2004. I know the world doesn't revolve around me lol. You can either agree or disagree like many have already. The game is over for me. I'll miss you all even though you guys don't know me. It's been an amazing run.

You mp wash. Put some points into INT, some points into MP, wash leftover mp into hp.

The game is unbalanced. Nexon has always been constantly making changes to make the game as balanced as possible(Just like every single other game company), nerfing leech was something done long time ago.

What I'm saying is that different bosses have different fights. Being constantly killed it what makes the fight so hard.

Zakum has a 3 hour time limit in royals, which takes like half an hour to defeat. They should give PB that much time because it has four times more hp than zakum, not even counting the statues.

What pisses me is that people that actually play their character will never be able to do Pink Bean. Instead you have to reset your entire character, but now instead of grinding and using your character, you must to get leeched all the way. The game being this way is bullshit.

At the very least, they should give people that reach level 200 a single full ap reset or something.

And I was talking about the old official game when I said it was pay2win.

The game is punishing players for not making a bishop first, as they will have to make it later and discard whatever character they were maining(because they didn't knew of mp washing or whatever). Can you really call me lazy for not wanting to do this crap?

 

If I can recall correctly @Andreas has enough hp for pb or he's really close to having enough. He didn't leech at all I believe. You either have to commit to getting enough hp. Or you won't be able to do PB. Btw, Pink bean hasn't even been confirmed yet. Ht takes a very minimal amount of washing to be able to do it at level 155. Nerfing leeching isn't going to help you in that aspect. It will just hurt the game as a whole.

There is another private server which used to be fairly popular. They decided to nerf leeching and now that server is dead. I'm not saying that was the direct reason for the server to die out. But it probably was one of the many factors.

 

I have enough HP to PB with 12k currently, I did leech I believe a few levels at 9x cause I got help from Kin, I did level a lot at captain Latanica since Mr.Anchor dropped white essence and he was amazing exp, I believe late 9x-114 and then I leeched to 135 so I could Zakum.
Then boss to 160 with 17x base int.

 

out of topic did you mp wash? and how much int approximately did u have from eqps

 

I had no other character except my 5x mage so no funds to buy equips more or less no int equips.
I started MP washing at 15x when it became known that was possible.

EDIT: That leech to 135 was extremely expensive with no means of making money, even it was cheaper getting 1 hit leech than what it is now.
I made all my money from gold teeth Halloween event and Orbis etc.

I don't think you understand how HP/MP Washing works. This seems unfair for those of us who have already spent billions on washing.

Totally, the game gets a lot better when you start grinding one zone for 50 levels

 

The game opens up vastly in training maps, farming options, and bossing after 13x, and your skillbook is also complete giving you full abilities and class gameplay. It's very fair to say the game gets a lot more enjoyable at that point.

 

im pretty sure this was sarcasm but the game does get better after 120+. Pap, BF, anego, pianus, krex, zak. its not just grinding in one zone

 

To me, most of the Maple experience comes before that - Victoria Island, Orbis, El Nath, Ludus Lake, Aqua Road... Sure, you get more bosses and skills, but the journey kinda stops, at least how I see it

Oh, that, yea. If you play for that stuff, sure, but I, for example, play for other reasons. I remember when I played in 2006, leveling was outrageously tedious and slow and I didn't even get to 3rd job til Aran came out, so I never really did much bossing, even after that
