Thanks GM's for being proactive about this issue. It's been known for a while that a handful of pretty well known players were abusing this glitch (I won't mention names, you know who you are.) All those pretty accounts gone to waste. What a shame. Discuss.
The GMs should implement a system where the players could report glitch abuse like that!! That'd save a lot of time and hassle.
Wow seriously? They think of everything. Hang on though, couldn't you have used that to report the players that were abusing it?? I'm confused.
It would have been nice to have been told about this rather than us having to do investigating to figure out who's who and what their involvement was/is.
Ill quote a skype convo. "ppl didnt report these idiots because they were good friends with a couple of GMs and didnt know the repercussions. Myself included, I had no idea how far up the tree the exploit went".
Lol? This isn't the mafia bro some guys in suits aren't going to show up and kidnap you for reporting someone. In case you haven't noticed reporting someone is not a bannable offense...
I know nothing about who is involved besides who has already been banned and certainly would like to know who else is known to be involved. If anyone would be so kind as to PM me, I would like to do additional investigation if necessary and naturally, your name would remain anonymous.
Let's be real. In any private server, there exists nepotism. There's is no point in disputing that. I won't go as far as to say it exists heavily in this server, but I have 2 different friends who were GM's on Royals back when there were about 100-200 active users, and I've heard stories. Clearly this discussion is going to end up straying an a different direction than intended, so feel free to close if you see fit.
if u think someone is abusing, just call them out, theres no wrong in asking for a GM to keep a watch on them. its kinda like auditing of accounts in companies, it works that way. im sure your ign will remain anonymous too considering you Pm-ed a GM with an intention of helping them weed out these dupers, of course, make sure theres a case to it so that it doesnt become more of a hindrance than help
Some ppl could be friends with said glitchers and even though they themselves dont glitch, they value the friendship with said person as oppose to exposing them. You can kinda correlate it to how a lot of high lvl legits in GMS were good friends with known hackers/glitchers. Personally if I knew someone who did the glitching I'd probably ask them to stop ruining the economy and explain why its a shitty thing to do. But like I said, it really depends how well of friends you guys are.
Of course this thread isn't going in the direction you intended; your posts throughout this thread imply that certain people have been walking free simply because they have ties with the staff. So, like John said, if you know anyone who's been abusing, we urge you to come forward to us. You mention that you have friends who were GM's "back then" that have told you stories... you should ask yourself why they aren't on staff anymore, and also ask yourself if any of the people in those stories are still on staff as well; if they are, you've got something to share with us and we definitely want to hear it, and if they aren't, well...
