Met @Scott around a week ago in Korea before I left to New York for uni Had some Chicago pizza (deep dish ) and sweet potato fries for lunch Watched Mission Impossible and then had some bingsoo (shaved ice) Pretty awkward at first but as it went on it got better Was definitely fun and I think I gained a bit of weight after all the food zzzz
When I played DestinyMS I met this girl called Elin, (i think it was back at 2011) We realised we lived 2 hours away from eachother so she came to me and we have been best friends ever since. Now her BF lives in my city so she's here a lot. I could never wish for a better friend ;_; Then: Now:
I met a friend from another Maplestory ps in 2006 when I was middle school. We were both in different provinces back then but eventually, he came to my city for university and we've still been great friends ever since; online and irl.
I met one of my best friends on GMS in 2007. We texted every day and after about 7 years I was going to Cali and I decided to swing by and pick her up on my way home. She stayed the weekend and went back home. That following February she moved to AZ and was my roommate for a year. Now I moved to Texas and she's still in AZ, but we still text every day and have friend tattoos. I just moved to Texas where three of my close friends from the same era live. I have had the chance to meet one when I was visiting Houston for work and I usually see him when I have to go up there. And Gage and I live in the same city, so we chat a lot and meet up for lunch. Good times Maple = Love <3
When I was on EMS I met a bunch of London based Maplers. It was funny because I'd use colloquial language all day until the Londoners logged on and we'd all talk the deepest slang it was so funny coz you wouldn't imagine maple language to mix with slang (with what we knew it to be and mean). Eventually some of us organised to meet. 1 guy lives not too far from me called Jamie and we're still close friends after 5 years (I was just whatsapping him now) We chilled a couple times. Jide lives near me also and I see him sometimes in the middle of London chillin Taylor I met by chance when I was in Mc Donalds somewhere in the north of London and have seen him a bunch of times. Sindy and Stephen were a Maple couple originally then hooked up IRL from Maple, they then invited me to a 3 day party in south London that I turned up to in all my brilliance, was mad as hell I got so wavey/faded/however you describe drunk in your slang.
I've actually never met anyone from Maple in IRL. I did try once, after Big Bang came out, and there was a splurge of new players. His name was Austin and he lived probably an hour away from me. We were suppose to met in the city but he missed his train and that was the end of that. He actually stopped playing shortly after that and we kept in contact months after, but with due time our friendship slowly fell apart. I still wonder how he is and what he's been doing. I really miss him and wish him the best of luck! f3 ~
One time I had a maple friend named Belial. We were duper good friends. He lived bout an hour away from me. I drove up there one day and as I got there I saw a moving truck driving away. He disappeared and I never saw him again. I went home and cried for 3 hours straight and threw up a bit.
ON SATURDAY I had the pleasure of meeting 2 more members of the Royals community! And I had an absolute blast! @Zoink @Dustin @Amy and @Laszlo went out drinking the Netherlands and Aims and I had good drunk times! Spoiler: look at us be pretty and drunk That makes 15 royallers hehe, this feels like a collection now <3 love every single one of you.
I actually met two of my best friends through Maple Story! I was talking IG to a guild-mate and he asked me where I was from, and I said Canada. He proceeded to tell me, "Oh cool I have a friend from Canada" so I was like,"Ha ha yes, Canadians: we all know each other" So he introduced us, and turns out he lived 4 blocks away from me! Its been 7 years and we are still best friends.
Don't know why but re-reading this thread after an intense night of studying for finals put a smile on my face and really brightened me up Hoping to meet a few more Royallers in the future!
