Recommended? Yes. Possible to boss with Hyper Body, but no washing? Yes, but difficult. It's gonna be pretty tough to do Horntail because there won't always be a Dark Knight to go along with you.
actually for HT even if theres a DK , it wont matter cuz the warriors stay on the left side and attack, while NL/BM/MM/Sair stay on the right side and attack and pretty much the DK never goes to your side to HB u. Unless u have a DK friend in your BL or guild that will do specific things like coming over to HB u and u SE him in exchange.
I would say Yes, you'd need washing for BM. It is expensive, which is why I am not rushing to hit Lv 150 with my BM. Because, I see no point in being 150 with nothing. Currently at lv 57 (washing with 70 int total, and now 110 int total) I have about roughly 2600 clean HP. And like ^ said, you cannot rely too much on HB.
A Lv. 135 BM requires no hp washing to do Zakum. HT on the other hand is much more difficult. You need at least 5.6k hp AFTER HB. During the main body, Horntail deals 5.6k damage throughout the map. It's unavoidable. Certain parts of Horntail such as wings and legs deal up to 8k and 10k respectively. However, in this current patch, parties can "freeze" every Horntail part except for the 3 heads. The order of entry determines the aggro. 1tail 2wings 3legs 4righthand 5lefthand 6heada 7 headc 8headb If the person who aggros a certain body part is far enough, that body part will stay inactive. Usually a squad consists of 6 attackers and 1 bishop for hs/res. The 1st person to enter in a 7 man squad is usually the archer and they take both 1tail and 8headb aggro. Headb dispels. A general order would be 1SE 2Range 3Range 4Warrior 5NL 6anything 7bishop. Warriors excluding Paladins should not be 1/2/3 to freeze because their dps will be reduced to 1/3 because they can hit wings/legs/left arm. 1/2/3 generally dps head c from the top right platform. If you fall and you are tail/leg/wing aggro and your hp is low you can easily die because those parts can deal 5.6k+. Basically 5.6k hp is the bare minimum hp you need after HB. You might not always find a DrK to HB you and even if you find a party with a DrK, it may be difficult for them to constantly supply you with HB because they may be the only warrior and they need to take right arm aggro which seduces if the DrK goes near. If you have less than 5.6k hp then the general setup doesn't work and the party must fix the order to accommodate you with can reduce efficiency. HTing with 5.6k hp is doable without hb but you must not fall. I love you Yaichi <3. If we HT together and I'm not right hand I will always try to HB you by dpsing HeadA/RightArm/Wings. Even if you're dispel. It'll suck for the person who's left hand if left hand isn't dead by the time Head B is.

I hav en on many HT runs in EMS but those were after Big Bang, which I think, was diffeent after. Plus, it was 5 years ago so I honestly don't remembeanything.. @ezra Also, this I know for certain. You will fall down. Even Warriors who have Stance, gets knocked back sometimes. HT is famous for Seducing you to go right >>> and then making you 1 Hp 1 Mp. Which at that time, all can do is pray that no mini mobs touches you. And if I remember, you can't pot when you are seduced.
On a slight tangent, I heard from the grapevines that we won't be able to freeze HT body parts in the new source. Can someone who's played open beta comment on the validity of this?
I think JaseyRae said something about 9k hp after HB? I know he made one of my NL friends depressed because he told him he wouldn't be able to HT with his current level of hp washing. That NL quit or remade his character.
But 9k HP after HB is 5600 HP though I guess what I'm asking is: post new source, what'll the minimum HP required without HB? 5600 or 7600?
This is quite off topic, but who? I have no memory of teaching anyone about hp washing in-game. If it's true, I'm feeling a bit guilty; doesn't feel good to be the instigator of demotivation.
