failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2D

    tried to get on mapleroyals with new comp, got this error "failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2D"

    i use windows 8, but "lolwut" doesn't solve it

    You'll have to run in compatibility mode. The mode that works best for me is Windows98.

    I had to try a few things before I could get mapleroyals to run on my windows 8 laptop:

    Like Chicken Stix said you want to run it under another compatibility. Windows XP server pack 3 is what I think I run it on. I'll have to check when I get home.

    You can also try running as administrator. I have that box checked where you change the compatibility settings.

    After that it usually still takes me 4-5 trys to get mapleroyals up and running but other than that it works fine :3

    For me Windows 98 runs it first time every time. I do run as administrator too, otherwise it doesn't always work.

    Also I haven't got around to installing 8.1, so I don't know if there's any differences with that or not.

    You need to run the setup.exe file inside the mapleroyals folder afaik.

    didn't work, I upgraded to windows 8.1, that actually solved it :p
