Lol yeah aside from nls, shads, buccs, and maybe mages all other classes are just objectively less fun. Of course there are some outliers that enjoy other classes. I just can't imagine someone having fun playing a BM other than the fact people love you for SE.
I don't think you are to decide what other people like tho play : ) Personally I like to play my Marksman and F/P Mage. But my brother on the other hand: Everyone has different preferences and favored playstyles, you can't just randomly pick 3 classes and say that those are the ones everyone likes to play. Because it's simply not true : )
You literally just said your opinions on why you enjoy certain classes over others and claimed it as fact... Okay. My personal list of most enjoyable classes goes as follows Hero>Drk>Corsair>Shads>The rest
LOL I'm so afraid of getting perma banned that I will never mention leech or talk to @injeenious ever again. But seriously I believe bishops are a very very fun class. Similar to playing a support in Dota. A support that for some reason can farm faster than all other classes... Right but you enjoy your Marksman for reasons other than gameplay (pride, uniqueness, ect.) I was just stating that the fact is some classes have more enjoyable mechanics that make it more fun. Like jump attack, flash jump, high damage, flashy shit, ect. If a completely new player played a Marksman, theres a pretty high chance he/she will be miserable in my opinion.
I don't give 2 camels about pride and uniqueness, I play Marksman pure because I like the kit it comes with. (Thus gameplay mechanics) You prefer flash jump, jump attack or whatever mechanic.. and I prefer having a big nuke on a short cooldown that goes through weapon attack cancels. I also like the fact that in the new source Marksman can grind properly as a ranged class, thus another gameplay feature that matters to me. My marksman was my 2nd character on this server, I really don't understand what you mean by this. I made my marksman before I made any mage characters or other supposedly fun classes (according to your logic).
Reason 1. Freaking shooting faster than any other class out there (not including corsair ) Reason 2 (for MM) . Snipe Reason 3. Snipe Reason 4. Snipe! And did I mention snipe? I'm definitely making Marksman next ^^
I dont think that create a "best class fight" was the op's intention, i dont get why ppl is so frustrated about the class the other ppl play/find fun and try to make the class look bad lol.
I completely agree with you there sir. No one can tell you which class is fun as a fact. I just wanted to find out everyone's opinions and also decide what class I'd make next. Thanks to @Dimitri . definitely gonna be MM. Can't wait to snipe some fools
Lol I actually forgot about Snipe cause it was bugged for so long in GMS. And that charging bar above your head, Piercing arrow! Okay I take it back MM are very fun. What I meant before is that during 1-120, MMs are weaker than other classes and possess less flashy moves which means you will be having less fun. So a new player will be kind of regretful in making a MM. That's how I felt anyways. BMs are still boring as hell though.
Dude...... Fun is 100% subjective. BM is boring for you, sure. BM isn't boring for everyone. I personally find bucc incredibly boring. Yet you find it fun. You see how it works? good you learnt something.
That's true but isn't being a ninja DPS god more fun than being a SE slave? Like in general. I just had a sudden realization. The ENTIRE servers sense of fun is subjective. Like for me, I enjoy flirting with online strangers and complaining about leech. That's whats fun for me. For some people like Hangjovi, its about becoming the richest. That's the entire point of Maplestory, YOU CREATE YOUR OWN STORY. Man what a mindfuck.
Bowmasters are more than SE slaves; they're still better 1v1 DPS than more than half of the classes in the game, and they have other skills associated with them; two true options for mobbing in Inferno and Arrow Rain, two summons to use with different purposes, Inferno for damage, Hawk for stun, Puppet to be able to de-aggro mobs from you... Night Lords have Triple Throw and a lot of avoidability, with a halfway decent means of pushing mobs away in Ninja Storm that even doesn't compare to the Bowmaster's version of the same skill in Dragon's Breath, and a completely subpar mobbing skill in Avenger. It's up to you to decide for yourself which is more or less fun, and up to us for ourselves. That's what this whole thread is about; seeing what each different individual likes, not to be told what we should like. Like you said, in MapleStory you create your own story, and yet you've come back from a temporary ban on the forums and immediately started trying to tell us what we should and shouldn't like, which was the reason for your ban in the first place. Please stop instigating, mate.
BMs have alot of cool skills yes. And it is really fun before lvl 120. But after 120, your cool skills become obsolete and 90% of the time you are going to be using only two skills, hurricane and sharp eyes. Thats what I meant when I said they are boring. They are extremely one dimensional. Of course I love all classes. But it comes down to this: Warriors - hitting shit with weapon - lame Mages - casting somewhat cool shit Bowmans - shooting shit and SE - lame Nl - godlike dps, flash jump Jesus, quick, flashy crits Shad - tons of cool but weak shit Sairs - shooting shit but with godlike dps on a boat Buccs - tons of cool / useful / somewhat weak shit I mean it's obvious which are more fun. I think anyone who has played Maple for a long time (and has multiple chars) tend to agree on which jobs are more fun and which aren't. I think it's why me and Plenty both agree shads and Buccs are generally the most fun. I also think of OP question as if you can only be one class permanently like in real life. Ignoring all DPS and mules and stuff.
Subjective: based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions. I can understand why you feel that BMs are lame, as I have similar preferences in gameplay. As you've mentioned, there is without a doubt an imbalance in class populations due to the fact that there are large groups of people who enjoy similar things. This does not mean you can completely disregard a class and objectively comment on the level of enjoyment you'd attain from playing it. My opinion on these classes doesn't necessarily represent anything bigger than myself, and neither does yours. What's so bloody hard to understand? Are you trolling hard or are you actually stupid?
Nothing is 100% subjective friend. What the heck are we discussing if all our answers were "it depends".
