After John deleted my old full int thief, I re-created SneakyTree today. It will be a thief but I still have to roll a dice to choose between assassin and bandit! I won't buy any equips from NPC's.
I regret not going Bandit. I realized we are going to be stock-piling a shit-load of mesos with literally no use for them...unless you made a bandit like @Tim and actually thought out the strategy behind this haha! Either way, you'll enjoy this!
Awesome video and awesome progress everybody! Damn OldFashioned, you're making me jealous with those pimped maces! Since this is my first Royals character, I had yet to experience the specific balancing granted to custom rates and content. I think Simon did a good job making this challenge somewhat Royals-specific, but yeah, with the exception of cosmetic coupons, without merching there are no actual meso sinks in the Ironman experience. I made 60+ millions from pure meso drop/npcing, way more than needed for ordinary Potions restock. B> ZAKUM HELMET. D: I think that many Ironmen chose a class they were curious about, but never “dared” to main due to legitimate dps / bossing / competitive concerns. Personally I went Paladin because I always had a thing for them, and I thought they could be a long-term fun and independent solo class. I really look forward to train with elemental charges! I am sorry if I am not updating much about myself. I am about to hit level 60 with absolutely ordinary equips (either clean or scrolled with 100%). I haven't dropped any single godly Warrior equip so far. Bad luck! x.x This is not making the experience less fun, but I feel I am not doing anything extraordinary or worth mention comparing to the other fellow Ironmen. What make things great to me: - the feeling of a slow but steady and hard-earned progression - the fact that I am exploring a lot, and I have to actively think where to go every time I log into the game (training, drop hunting, a compromise between the two). 10/10 experience so far. I think you are absolutely right about the choosing of classes. I had never considered making a brawler until I found the Ironman challenge! Also, I think the Ironman guild does a great job including and welcoming new Ironmen! Really nice guys in there!
I've been grinding most of the time the past 3 days so I haven't made an update on the progress. However, today I was able to get myself some goodies from Leprechauns and a new look. Spoiler: Update on the progress Level Progress 11/19/2015: Level 35~40 11/20/2015: Level 40~43 11/21/2015: Level 43~45 11/22/2015: Level 45~48 Damage Progress First day's damage range result was 17~119. I was able to get a 6att wg with 1 slot available (All the GFA 60%s were gained from Platoon Chronos + Subani's Legacy Quest). 100%'d Kandayo. Now with all the gears and the luk acquired through levelling, my attack range is around 144~554. Leprechauns! The hidden map [Phantom Forest: Creeping Evil] is a golden spot for Assassin Ironmen. The drop rate of Leprechauns is really good so npcing equips can generate quite a lot of Mesos in a short amount of time. Mesos aren't an effective asset for the Ironman challenge, but it can help to compensate for the pot costs and for the folks who plan to get a mount. Also, especially for the Assassin Ironmen, leprechauns drop steelies so that's another plus. I was able to farm 4 sets of steely within 2~3 hours. The experience points are fairly decent as well (I was able to get 3 levels (45~48) here today). Also, I got a new look! Both of the eyes and the hairstyle were only obtainable through REG.... so it costed me about 40mil to get them both T_T. Mesos from Leprechauns surely did help a lot lol.
