Pets?

I've never had a pet before and I don't how they work and am unable to find a guide on them. Could anyone give me a run down of how they work and how I can use them effectively as well as the differences between pets. Thanks.

They work by following you around, you can buy CS items to make then loot items/mesos
They can be decorated with equipment (limited), NX equips can be scrolled
Different pets have different hunger rates, like how quick their fullness decreases per time (meaning you need to feed them more pet food)
all pets level up by how much closeness they have, at lv 15 you can type in text and the pet will say it

 

What happens if I don't feed them? How do I get pet food?

 

hi u can get em from the npc doofus, hes in henesys marketplace and its really cheap like 30 mesos or something? they don't get hungry that bad so its almost free to feed em
If you don't feed them, the pet will very frequently stop following you, so you have to redouble click it in the cash tab of your inventory a lot; this is kinda irritating because in a boss run or so, having autoHP/MP can save your life if you're not quick enough to hit the HP pot hotkey fast enough, so you gotta have the pet happy while its still hanging behind you. Same goes for item loot/mesos loot
Feeding it also increases the closeness of your pet, so you can level up your pet slightly faster, not feeding it does not drop your pet's level
the pet system is pretty simple, and youll know what im talking about as soon as you get one

 

Ok thanks for the help and one more question: is there any difference in stats or what each pet does? Say the 4.9k NX one as opposed to a 12K one? Or are they just cosmetic?

 

For this server, the pets only have cosmetic differences, since essentially, there are no functional differences i.e. Pets all do the same thing.
(Some pets that were supposed to have additional capabilities have been removed. Not too bad, since pets "dying" ability has also been removed..haha)

I think you need not worrie so much. Juz be aware some aspects/area there might be a bug with the pets, but I dun think it's too serious.
Those NX Pet Eqpt that are not currently functioning have been disabled from purchase (juz like other non-functioning NX items).


Notes:
Pets have 2 stats:
Closeness (Determines Pet's Level)
Fullness (Low = Pet's will return home)

Not recommended to buy the NX Food for Pets - juz get the Pet Food with Mesos.

Pick a Pet you will likely keep for "life" (Don't abandon your Pets)
Mehx, actually up to you. Juz that you can only have one Pet out at a time.

Love your Pet, don't neglect it.
