Int and Magic are weighed roughly the same in the magic damage formula. That 23 base magic advantage? Weighed directly against each and every point of base luk you need to equip the staff. It's not even a contest, lukless wins.
They have additional MA to compensate over the amount of MA lost by adding your AP into LUK. That's from what I understand.
Thanks, from asking around people are telling me that 1 INT = 1 M att, which means that elemental wands would be way better. I didn't know that ratio existed for bishops, as it's way different from other classes. Thanks!
Yeah, except the addition MA does not even come close to compensating you for the amount of INT you had to sacrifice.
I've been meaning to ask this for a while. How did you go about creating your banners for each section? I have a lazy way of making mine.
Photoshop. Took approximately 15 seconds per banner haha. I just wrote them out with 3px borders or something and drop shadowed them. The monsters I jacked off hidden street, lol.
Ah, alright. Thanks for letting me know. That chart has been floating around different forums since 2009. I found it back then when I was leveling my bishop on GMS. I just googled around and I think it actually may actually differ VERY slightly based on how much INT and M.ATT you have (according to this guy and his calculator). I'll just leave the chart as is.
Hi there, I was wondering if I could get some assistance on building a bishop. I have heard that it is a good starting character for unfunded players. It has been about 8 years since I played maple and a lot of things have changed, so apologies in advance if I make no sense. I want to build a lukless bishop like Bellas Bishop guide but I am unfunded. 1) I was wondering if it is possible for me to build a decent lukless bishop with low funds? Or should i invest in luk? If so, is there a minimum amount of luk i should have? 2) What sort of early game (lvl 10 through 70) lukless equipment can I purchase that an unfunded player can afford? (I am currently selling telerocks and AP reset scrolls to make some dollars). I ask these questions as I am now level 14 magician and I have no idea what I should be equipping or aiming to equip at later levels. I appreciate anyone who can assist me and thank you for the guide Bella! Cheers, Davey boy
Going lukless is the best and cheapest option, I wouldn't even entertain the idea of putting in any luk. I pretty much used the following items for my early levels: 1-30: My beginner wand 30-35: Green paint brush (can be obtained from Showa) 35-43: Maple staff 43-64: Maple lama staff To be honest none of my stuff was even scrolled through these levels, since you wizz past them very quickly. I don't really go into the FM often, so I'm unable to provide an estimated cost - but I can't imagine clean / averagely scrolled ones would go for much. You could even hunt for the weapons yourself (I went that route). The real money making will happen once you get genesis - from that point start saving for a nice elemental wand. A point to remember: 1 int = 1 m.att pretty much in this version
Thats super Bella, thanks for the quick response! Could I ask what sort of equipment you were wearing during your earlier levels? i.e overalls, helmet, shoes, glove?
Yeah, literally nothing. I didn't start equipping my character until 120+ I made my bishop when the server was new, so there wasn't really much pre-scrolled stuff around... Keep an eye out for bathrobes (int), earrings (int), glitter gloves / yellow work gloves / red marker (m.att), purple adv cape / gaia cape (m.att or int). Personally, I'd prioritize saving up for an end game wand before I bothered with armour equips, but that's just me. Edit: Zakum helmet, of course, for helm :3
my build for 2nd job is a bit different (so have been in the past too) i always start with 1 heal, the teleport is not that needed early, at least not until ludi pq. so 1 Heal 15 Heal (put 1 Tele when you feel its "really" needed) save 15, Max Heal Max MP Eater Max Invincible (yes, i actually think that this one is better to have then Bless. -30% damage is quite a lot when you have low w.prot and you want to "feel safe" when you kill with Heal) Max Bless Max Teleport (actually with Heal+MP Eater, you can use Teleport without any problems even with 1 point, thats why you should MAX is last) 11 Magic Armor (yes, the 1st job, crappy 40w.def protection) Holy Arrow will never be used. such a useless attack. better to boost a bit protection. when maxed it will give you 40 w.def (20 w.def more then bless) you can create a macro to put Bless - Magic Armor. even if you "forget" to activate Bless, you have 200 seconds with 40 w.def before it goes out. later, in 3rd job, you will have enough "leftovers points" to max Magic Armor. (edit: about the leftovers, no points on Doom and only 15 on Summon Dragon. that will give you enough points to max Magic Armor, if you instead of Magic Armor want to have Holy Arrow you will be able to get 27/30)
Hi Bella, I noticed it says slygie, magic required w/ gen 20 is 1230. I have 1232 magic. Still can't 1h 100%. I believe it should be 1250 like in Gerg's leeching guide.
It's a horrible guide! She said Doom is useless and to max summon dragon. Summon dragon is useless above llvl 15 as it requires a rock and is outclassed by rockless bahamut next job.
