Unable to go into windowed client

Hi.
I cannot go into a smaller window when playing MapleRoyals, I have tried changing it in the settings and have used ALT + Enter but nothing seems to work.
Is there anyway I can get a smaller screen while playing the game?

 

Bumping because I have the same issue. On Windows 10. Every compatability mode does the same thing.

 

What screen resolution are you using?

 

EDIT: Whoops, it's 1776x1000 due to AMD not allowing 1920x1080 on this monitor.

Yeah, with things like 1600x900 and 1920x1080. Still won't work.

 

So Alt Enter wont work, changing resolutions won't work, any other options?

 

This seems like a driver issue. Have you updated it recently? If so, try rolling back the drivers. If not, try updating them.

From my experience with the Nexon forums, the problem typically existed with users who were using 1280+ resolution. If the drivers updating/rolling back suggestion does not work, it seems your only option will be to change your resolution to something BELOW 1280, THEN launch the royals client.

Funny you should mention it, I just updated 2 days ago and it's still doing it. Changing resolution doesn't do anything.

It seems like this could be a Windows 8 or later issue, where Maplestory has compatibility issues when re-sizing (which makes sense due to the introduction of touch screen).

If you really want windows mode, you can download DXWnd and run MapleRoyals through that. Click here for the download link, and click here for a short video tutorial on how to set it up (obviously making sure to select MapleRoyals, and not the regular GMS, if you even have it).

Let me know if you need further help setting this up. This is guaranteed to work as this software forces its programs to launch in windows mode.
